I looked it up, and it was just as I thought. The radio address is on the, get this, White House website. No YouTube needed. And it has been on this cool thing called the World Wide Web since the beginning of this administration.

I’ll bet some young whipper-snapper Obama supporters never knew how hip this Bush guy is.

Nothing wrong with putting it on youtube, having some content on there that isn’t crotch shots and nip slips might actually be good people. And it spreads the bandwidth.

Funny thing, they’re all in the same video.

You’re correct. Nothing wrong with putting it on Youtube. Obama’s making central government cool. He will bypass the MSM and take his programs straight to the masses. I think it’s a great idea. Makes the media more irrelevant. He won’t have to hold many press conferences. He can speak from a script. It’s a win-win kind of thing.

It’s got nothing to do with central government or cool. The point of presidential addresses is to be heard by the people, there are multiple ways to reach the people. If youtube doesn’t care why should we. As I already found on google there’s already plenty of sites that store presidential addresses, the only new part here is putting it on youtube.

LOL No need to get defensive. If Obama’s people want to put videos on Youtube in addition to putting them on the White House website, then so be it. It’s a waste of time when they can already put his videos on the White House website. But what does it matter if some government paid worker (or maybe a volunteer will do it) goes that extra mile and posts the same video on another website? It doesn’t. It’s redundant but cool. And it makes Obama bloggers all over the country happy to be able to say that Obama was the first president to put his radio addresses on Youtube.

Obama could take this a step further and have some of his adoring fans sit around him, holding their lighters in the air and swaying to some inspirational music while Obama speaks to US.

I’m not being defensive. I just don’t see why people think this is so stupid. Since when is getting the message out stupid? As for a waste of time it’s going to cost some intern 5 minutes a week to post a file that already exists for the White House website on youtube, not a big deal.

You sure are addicted to this being some horrible cult of personality thing. Really it’s not a big deal either way. It’s not cool, it’s not stupid, it’s not a cult of personality thing. It’s making speeches a little easier to find. Boring really, like all political speeches.

“Obama’s minions don’t give a crap about what Obama has to say. They want free money and if they don’t get free money then they will turn on him like rabid crocodiles. “

Wrong. They worship him. Many will want to see the Messiah’s every word.

Interesting that all the utube links I had concerning the Odinga and Obama relationship are not working?

“The White House web site has all of the Weekly Radio Addresses. Text, so it does discriminate against those who can’t read, but it’s still all there.”

How many folks get exposed to it though? Not many. Youtube would allow him a much greater audience. It probably isn’t as foolish a move as you would think at first glance and probably does foreshadow the future.

I don’t think it’s foolish at all.

MSM has not offered to put the Dem response on TV, as they do with the real Sat. Address, so Obama makes it look positive by putting it on Youtube. Not a dumb move.

As I pointed out, it’s right up there with me singing the Mothra song (copied from the tiny girls who foretell Mothra visits) and kids lip syncing Barbie Girl.
