My theory from the beginning was that Obama was a stalking horse candidate put up by the Clintons, so that it would look good for Hillary- by beating him she would take on more of an unbeatable quality. They never expected him to take the lead, and once he did, he took off and never looked back.

The Sec Def is 6th in line. The list of top ten goes like this:

1. Vice President of the United States
2. Speaker of the House
3. President pro Tempore of the Senate
4. Secretary of State
5. Secretary of the Treasury
6. Secretary of Defense
7. Attorney General
8. Secretary of the Interior
9. Secretary of Agriculture
10. Secretary of Commerce

A potential HRC Secretary of State would be 4th in line. Naturally, all those in the line of succession would have to meet the legal requirements of the office. Since that's in doubt about Obama, given his mystery birth certificate, that may not even matter.......though it should.
