Is it just me or does the headline make it sound like the guard is the robber.

Ah, but the armed gunmen are much more of a threat, don't ya' know. Once 0bama has his way, all we'll have are unarmed gunmen.

Remeber the old movie...what was the name of it? In which someone said, "New York's a rough town. No shooting from the hip but a knife in the back with kid gloves."

Times have changed. Today it's Dodge City many times over. Its Leftists--thoroughly suffused by decadence-chic--get a perverse thrill from its descent into a violent Third World hellhole.

Well, we just can’t have illegally armed gunmen.

If only a member of the civilian security force was nearby, this never would have happened. Hell, the gunman might have even been gainfully employed as one.

The guard was probably asleep in a chair provided by George Costanza.

Did the “armed” gunman have a carry permit? You know, I wish, when they posted these stories, that they would say that the person was carrying the gun “illegally”. Then never do. So my question ... did the “armed” gunman have a carry permit?

yeah, they needed a platoon of those kids in black t-shirts and fatigues marching around doing that hand-over-fist thing. that would have scared away any potential robbers.

"An armed gunman"

I demand that they change that to gunPERSON in the future.

This is a PC world and I demand my rights!

How dare they insinuate that only men wield guns during crimes!

We can't use fireman, postman, etc... so it's only fair!

The guard was a retired NYPD officer so he was legally armed. The perp was trying to rob a jewelry store in the hotel.

His poor wife. Can you imagine what she thought when he called home and said, “Honey, I’ve been shot in the jewelry department”.

The mayhem began when the black-garbed suspect

Ha! It's a standing joke that everyone in NYC wears black all the time.
