WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A top Republican said on Friday that Democratic U.S. President-elect Barack Obama is "off to a good start" and indicated he was pleased to see President George W. Bush get ready to leave.

"Our members, in one way, are kind of relieved by the departure of an administration that became unpopular and made it very difficult for us to compete," Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell told reporters on Capitol Hill.

Who needs "Top Republicans" like this

This should be called "THE FAILED OBAMA ADMINISTRATION" EACH AND EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!

After all, we need to show him the same courtesy Pelosi showed to Bush.

Is anyone still in doubt that John Boehner and Mitch McConnell should have been tossed from GOP leadership?

Even if he privately thinks it, he certainly should not be saying it.

Somebody needs to tell Mitch that Congress' ratings are even lower than Bush's ratings.

WTH is the point of having two parties anymore? I’m so sick of this crappy GOP “leadership”. They still don’t get it - I don’t think they ever will.

I’m beginning to think that Conservatives from every quarter ought to just start their own party, let the country club blue bloods be rid of the Conservatives and be RINOs all they like, reach across the aisle and just form their own sham “two-party” system for mock elections. Oh, and then not allow the Arts and Croissants Elite RINOs to invade the Conservative Party and louse it up like they have the Republican Party.

We seem to be blessed (cursed) with a leadership made up of the biggest jackasses in the history of the Republican party, at this moment in time.

McConnell should find something better to do with his time, and quit wasting ours.
