In a world without moral absolutes, the Left's reaction is to write a book full of petty rules and damning consequences. That solves nothing and brings about the opposite of what's intended. There is no longer that bright line where people used to have the freedom to not only exercise their good judgment but to make inevitable mistakes as well. Goodness as defined by bureaucrats has not improved human nature.

Just as the doctrine of “zero tolerance” mind-numbingly recognizes only the self-serving aspects of a factual setting, the illogical doctrine that holds us responsible for the thoughts and reactions of others is a calculated step in the pathway to becoming political sheep.

We voted for electors, not the individual candidates. The electors vote on or after December 15, 2009. The results are then presented to a joint session of Congress and objections may be heard on January 8, 2009.
See the letter on my About page hand-delivered to the local offices of my Republican Senators and Representatives. I urge you to take similar action, even if it is simply mailing a one page letter to Washington, D.C
