There is a reason Mormons aren’t intimidated easily. Demonstrations outside Mormon temples are nothing compared to what they have endured in the past: Massacres, mobbings, having their homes ransacked, being forced to flee their homes in the dead of winter on threat of extermination (an order signed by the governor himself), being forced out of the territory of the United States across the plains. In the cause of morality and virtue, Mormons will always take a stand, regardless of what others say or do.

“There is a reason Mormons aren’t intimidated easily. Demonstrations outside Mormon temples are nothing compared to what they have endured in the past:...”

What you say is true, but you overlook the kind of pressure and even hatred directed at Mormons in this day and age. We have never stopped being a target that some others try to shoot down, they’ve only resorted to less criminal means in modern times, usually.

Walk into any Christian bookstore and you find what amounts in our eyes to hate literature about us. Whenever we hold a General Conference, or build a temple, or hold a pageant, there will be protesters from other churches hoping to accomplish the same things these mobs want. Some of them that I’ve met are every bit as hate-filled as these mobs are.

Mormon missionaries get more than their share of abuse as well. I was physically attacked twice just for being a Mormon missionary, and one guy tried to run me down with his car for teaching his sister about our beliefs. This was in the UK over 20 years ago, not some banana republic.
