Yes. You saw it with Clinton, only held a bit in check by a Republican Congress that checked some of his socialist tendencies. - By the end of his 8-year tenure, everyone with any sense was SICK of him - a natural phenomenon.

President Bush is not a halfwit. If anything, he is guilty of being “too nice a guy” and allowing Congress to spend like a drunken sailor. - He has kept us safe for seven years since the weakness of Clinton got us hit on 9/11 in the first place. The World Trade Center disaster affected the economy in a huge way, and he has had to deal with that, along with huge new costs in homeland security measures that had to be set in place to keep the country safe. I do agree, though, that from now on any politician who brags about being a uniter and not a divider and “reaching across the aisle” won’t get a hearing beyond those assertions from me.

I knew a nice guy in high school who watched me get the living daylights beat out of me without doing a thing. I have despised him since. Bush let Congress steal taxpayer’s money without being strong enough to sign an X for veto. That isn’t someone I want to give a pass to.
