The good news is that the room is clean and spacious. The bad news is that you have to share it with Kathleen Parker.

You're in a tiny minority on FR if you question the conservatism of Gov. Jindal, but here's some fairly good evidence of it.

Are you kidding me? Jindal peformed an exorcism...that may come back to haunt him but, be that as it may, he is definitely conservative.

I think it's amusing that people on our side like you would never think to call Biden a total buffoon....

Yuo're right, and your thought applies not only to the poster above, but to people like Noonan who have a public persona, and who don't blink and don't consider it an outrage that a doofus like Biden is elected to be the VP. What a swamp the DC/NY establisment is!

Someone who blithely says we should go to war with Russia if it invades Georgia (as she told Charlie Gibson)

A patently false statement. You are going to have a rough few years ahead, dealing with all us stupid rednecks.

If they’re really that dumb, God bless them.

And if Peg is dumb enough to think the press’ “mischief” in this matter is a bad thing...well, God bless her, too.

The media hates Palin’s popularity because it points up the fact that the religious right has not capitulated and that the fight for religious freedom (the right to oppose Gay marriage)is on going.

Someone who blithely says we should go to war with Russia if it invades Georgia (as she told Charlie Gibson),
"Ukraine and Georgia have also been developing their ties with NATO. Their leaders have declared their readiness to advance a NATO Membership Action Plan, MAP, to prepare for the rights and obligations of membership. They are working to consolidate democratic reforms and to undertake new responsibilities in their relationship with the Alliance. I welcome the desire and actions of these countries to seek closer ties with NATO and hope that NATO responds favorably to their request, consistent with its criteria for membership. " The One - Monday, March 3, 2008
GIBSON: Because Putin has said he would not tolerate NATO incursion into the Caucasus.

PALIN: Well, you know, the Rose Revolution, the Orange Revolution, those actions have showed us that those democratic nations, I believe, deserve to be in NATO.

Putin thinks otherwise. Obviously, he thinks otherwise, but...

GIBSON: And under the NATO treaty, wouldn't we then have to go to war if Russia went into Georgia?

PALIN: Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help.

But NATO, I think, should include Ukraine, definitely, at this point and I think that we need to -- especially with new leadership coming in on January 20, being sworn on, on either ticket, we have got to make sure that we strengthen our allies, our ties with each one of those NATO members.

We have got to make sure that that is the group that can be counted upon to defend one another in a very dangerous world today. - Gibson interview

I'm sorry if Governor Palin's view on the US meeting treaty obligations IF Georgia becomes a treaty party is not as nuanced as your's and Obama's.

WE OBSERVE ... AND THEEN WE FORM VIEWS....

SARAH WAS AN ANSWER TO PRAYERS. mo
sHE IS WHAT THE rEPUBLICAN PARTY MUST HAVE TO DRAW THE EXCITEMENT OF THE PEOPLE.

SHE COMMENTED SHE WANTED TO MEET THE PEOPLE MORE THAN SHE WAS ALLOWED TO DO. lET ME GO TO MICHIGAN AND TALK TO THE WORKERS ...

SARAH IS A FORCE WITH HER GOD GIVEN GIFTS. WHY THE campaign advisores kept her out of the public for the first month after her debut is a myastery and actually under cut her effectiveness. A plot? Maybe. Why else keep her quiet after her smashing selection and acceptance speeches?

What is the reason there are so many ridiculing comments from the likes of David Letterman ... every night? Also Craig Fersuson? and commentators too. Regularly?

To weary the public of her with ill framed suggestions and commentary, Mostly all of it is erroneously based on enuendos and nonsense.

Unfortunately the people typically do tend to believe there is truth in what they constantly hear about anyone. This power of gossip, slander is evily intended. It is not truth.

They desire to weaken her appeal, to demean her leadership and goverment policies. Ridiculing her killing and eating moose, bear, having a expensive designer handbag ... attacks on her family, ... anything to lessen her fresh, genuine power to make sound decisions, and remain uncorrupted.

Remember Christians are cast as extreme right wing bigots, less than intelligent Bible thumpers, ... et.

This is goning to continue until the next election ... so she will not have overall support from the conservatives of this nation.

I will say we have to be careful about battles on issues like Stem Cell research, Terry Shivo, and a federal law banning all abortions.

The problem is that the LIBs love to tie us in knots by trying to legislate society. I realize what you are getting at, but we must stand up and fight some of the tough battles.

I would say that the Terry Shaivo battle was a bit disgusting. Here you had NO written record of Terry's wishes, only hearsay from her ex-husband and you had a family that wished to keep her alive.

Pretty sure the pro-life battle is not for a Federal Ban on all abortions.

And on Stem Cell research, we actually made a winning argument, but right now we have VERY BAD COMMUNICATORS on our side. Why continue to allow embryos to be created for research when much more viable stem cells can be gathered from adults, umbilical cords and bone marrow.

The Wall Street Journal columnist believes the MSM is up to what she considers "mischief": attempting to make Sarah Palin the face of the Republican party.

The MSM??? You mean the media that sent teams of "investigators" to Alaska to dig up trivial dirt on Sarah Palin? That media?

I want what Peggy's smokin'. She's seeing way outside of reality on this. It's WE, THE CONSERVATIVES that like Sarah Palin. Noonan's hatred clouds her vision.

Somehow I don’t give a damn what Noonan says any longer. I didn’t read the excerpt and don’t care to.

Yes, give her the benefit of the doubt but she has to prove herself. She should not be the ‘face’ of the GOP until she does.

“McCain and Obama did EXACTLY the same thing, i.e., “did little more than repeat ... applause lines over and over again on the campaign trail”. Why criticize Sarah for it but not the others?”

they did townhalls. They did lots of interviews. They wrote books and policy papers. Sarah seemed like she was nothing more than a parrot.
