The natural born citizen clause of the United States Constitution should be repealed for numerous reasons. Limiting presidential eligibility to natural born citizens discriminates against naturalized citizens, is out-dated and undemocratic, and incorrectly assumes that birthplace is a proxy for loyalty. The increased globalization of the world continues to make each of these reasons more persuasive...the natural born citizen clause has increasingly become out of place in the American legal system. However, even though globalization strengthens the case for a Constitutional amendment, many Americans argue against abolishing the requirement.

There seems to be a lot of people in this country who are self-haters, who feel guilty about living in the finest nation on earth, and are compelled with the necessity of tearing it down.
Unfortunately, they don’t consider the feelings or attitudes of others.

That’s exactly what I say. Where do we muster up if this garbage isn’t cleared up.
The words, “well regulated Militia” and “shall not be infringed” come to mind.
I am praying, writing letters, sending emails and making phone calls.
I will also remain alert and vigilant. When duty calls...

Kind of reminds me when the penumbras and emanations revealed a constitutional right to slaughter the unborn.
Of course, not equal in gravity, but along the same lines in terms of inventing things that aren’t there, or squeezing meanings that were not original intent.

Obama is dancing around the edge of treason.
Guilt is the other method to keep people down.
Doesn’t Obama fit one or more of these categories? Or are these only applicable to the term “citizen”, but not necessarily “natural born”? I read the website you linked, but am not necessarily convinced.

* Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person’s status as a citizen of the tribe
* Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
* Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
* Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
* Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
* Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)
* A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.

The man is a narcissistic sociopath. He will go through the motions in whatever way you want him to, so long as he arrives where he wants to arrive ... in the ultimate seat of power. You see, Barack Obama not only doesn’t believe in God (superstitions are for fools, to men like Obama and several freepers who weekly spend time pointing out what fools we believers are), he secretly holds you in contempt if you believe in God. So, a ritual which calls out to what Barack Obama considers a mythical character is not even a nuisance if it garners more for him.

The fact that the movement is now in progress to trash this issue means that it is pretty certain that 0bama does NOT qualify as a “natural born citizen” under the current rules, or the more to the point, the law as it was when he was born.

I believe all apply but for the first statement. Here’s why:
Many diplomats and business personnel are stationed here with their families. Both parents are resident aliens. They can choose whether their children are registered in their home countries and these children, whose births can be registered in the U.S. and considered for citizenship when they are 18 years old, can make a choice to be a U.S. citizen when an adult. But, they would never be considered “natural born” as the parents were foreign citizens and not U.S.
Foreign nationals here without documentation have committed felonies in being here illegally. Any of their children born here are also considered to be foreign nationals. All these so called anchor babies, whose parents are illegal aliens, are NOT U.S. citizens just because they are born here. If the parents are here as legal residents, then yes, they can be considered potential U.S. citizens.
I’m not making this stuff up. It is all called out in Federal Statutes. Any one, claiming to be an Immigration lawyer or who claims to be working for such a lawyer, can challenge the above information and state that this information is false. But there are a lot of lawyers who earn an income trying to tear down the Constitution, and who are dedicated to changing it.
Don’t get sucked into their lies.

At the time the Constitution was being written, Europe was ruled by kings, who more often than not, came from places other than where they ruled, such as the Habsburgs, Bourbons and Hanovers. Understandably, the Founders wished to avoid such foreign entanglements. Their wisdom has been demonstrated in subsequent history, such as the rise of the Corsican Napoleon in France and the Austrian Hitler in Germany.
The Founders were not being xenophobic, they were simply remembering their history
