NEW YORK – Police were reviewing video from surveillance cameras in an attempt to identify who trampled to death a Wal-Mart worker after a crowd of post-Thanksgiving shoppers burst through the doors at a suburban store and knocked him down.
Criminal charges were possible, but identifying individual shoppers in Friday's video may prove difficult, said Detective Lt. Michael Fleming, a Nassau County police spokesman.

Yep you got it. I was on NY POST >COM before and you can’t imagine the EXCUSES people on there were making for the animals at Walmart. I’ve been to a few NY area Walmarts. It’s a 3rd world toilet at best . Look at the pics folks , see who is there. But ,oh no , can’t tell the truth or else you’re a racist. Yea , put a few hundred brothers together in one place and tell them they have cheap BIG SCREEN TVs inside and see what happens. THAT is what happened and I don’t care who calls me racist . I call it as I see it .

They had an updated story posted on one of the New York City newspaper websites this morning, and I’m pretty sure the guy was Haitian. In fact, I believe his mother still lives in Port au Prince.

Being taught to be civilized???? Have you ever watched MTV or a Rap video? Why is that they have to be taught? Arent you being a little superior in suggesting that they have to be taught yet others do not? OR are you suggesting that they reject being civilized? Either way such a hypothesis leads one to ignore reality and the behavior of people that contradicts reality and supposes that all have an equal capacity to learn. Nothing suggests such as nothing suggests that all abilities are the same.
Certain cultures have predominant characteristics - these characteristics have perpetuated their survival, but also have led to distinct differences. As much as we would like to believe that all have the same ability, we do not. Physical and mental attributes are characteristics that have as much to do with DNA as environment - to suggest that they are completely seperate and unrelated, and therefore easily changed, indicates a non critical evaluation of the natural world.
So let’s cut to the chase: are you arguing that blacks are genetically predisposed to rioting at Wal-Mart the day after Thanksgiving?
Why isn’t someone discussing fire laws that cover occupancy of this affair??

I am only saying that this kind of thing has happened before and will happen again. And I am aware of the Iowa events.
I was only pointing out that crowds of every color and at every venue be it sporting, concert or retail are capable of mindless action.

I just meant that as children we are taught in our families the proper way to behave. That we are to wait our turn, not to trample people over, that there are proper places to go to the restroom, etc. There are people of all hues who are just brought up in a world of “It’s all about me and %$&# anyone who doesn’t agree.” I know people of different races who know how to act in a civilized manner. Maybe some would say they are “acting white”. I just think of it as acting human and I half the time I don’t even think about what their skin color is. Those who act otherwise, I think of as “acting ghetto”, for lack of a better description.

Most here are brought up to act like animals , rude and crude.Using the F word to tell their 5 year old kids to shut up , asking what you looking at MF , demanding respect .

Call me a sadist, but it is kinda fun seeing the ‘Nilla transplants from god knows where get intimidated by the urban thugocracy. If the thugs wanted to, they could clear out Williamsburg of the hipsters by a few well chosen words.
What, and are there no unruly rural underclass shoppers? Why don't you just come out and say that WalMart shouldn't be in black areas.
That's right, I'm translating your "urban underclass" as code for blacks. The racism gets so thick sometimes here on FR, you can cut it with knife. Every year I've seen videos of crazy shoppers of every hue running through doorways on Black Friday. It's not a behavior exclusive to blacks, urban underclass, rural underclass, or illegals. It's just mob mentality that will overrun a situation when there's insufficient crowd control.
A shame, I used to love going to Luca Pizza and the old Sam Goody as a youth at that mall. Sunrise Multiplex was a little scary even back then, however.
