Picked up my 50GI “glock” slide around 1600L today. 600$ + tax poorer .......took it home , pulled the slide off my glock 21 and replaced it with the GI Slide. Easy , perfect fit and dry fired a few times.

Magazines are the 9 rounders. So 9+1 in the chamber capacity. Disassembled the entire slide and degreased, inspected, basically a glock in every detail, only for launching a bigger pumpkin ! Personal recipe of krytox and militec applied wiped down and then added to key wear surfaces. Not sure who applied the finish on the slide or what it is but flat silver grey finish that resembles the tenifer texture. Bold letters down left hand side of the slide “GUNCRAFTERS INDUSTRIES”........Barrel is marked with caliber as are all glock barrels and says “50 GI”......

Here are most accurate pic’s at some links.

.... Only thing I note “different” aside from larger bore is that this pig is heavy. Lot heavier than the Glock 21 or Glock 20 fully loaded. Magazine base uses an allen head screw for retention. Markings say “SUPER2” with “10MM/.45ACP” on base extension. Back of magazine is marked “50 GI” and “Made in USA” full length of mag has the words “guncrafters industries” and the mag appears to be a Glock 21 design as it has same 11 holes as my mags for the 45 auto version.

I have a supply of 300gr Ball and 275gr JHP’s and will hit the range in a few days and let ya know how it performs.

Stay safe....

It looks nice. And just as I went in the opposite direction, and got the little bitty Walther PPS in the anemic 9mm. That was as small as I wanted to go with a package that doesn't give me much of an excuse to leave it at home.

As far as the poster boy's picture upstream, he looks totally occupied with dumping his backpack, and does not yet have a mag in his weapon. He should have been low-hanging fruit for anybody with a functional weapon.

I've heard stories that the "armed" cops lacked ammo for their revolvers and SMLEs. One report called them "100 year old rifles". Probably new-manufacture Indian rifles in 7.62mm NATO. Not too shabby, and no reason to hide behind the civilians you're paid to protect.

In socialist countries, the cops are permitted weapons denied to the masses, with the idea that they are equipped and trained to stick their necks out to protect the sheeple, who are important sources of revenue to the state. Dead men can still vote, but they won't be paying any taxes.

I assume the BGs were eventually killed by the elite military. I doubt a single cop let off even one round in the whole three days. But at least they know that not only are their worthless hides still safe, but so are their jobs and pensions.

India needs something like the 9-11 commission here to dump the blame on a scapegoat, and whitewash their own roles. Then they would be ready for another raise, and maybe even an armed driver for their government cars.
