Lingle responds to crticism for not meeting with Obama

Governor Linda Lingle was a no show today in Philadelphia when President-elect Barack Obama met with more than 40 of the nation's governors.
Hawaii Democrats are criticizing Lingle, a Republican, for not attending.
This afternoon, Lingle defended her decision.
Governor Lingle says her decision was not politically motivated, rather it had to do with timing.

But some island Democrats are upset over Lingle's decision, saying it doesn't make sense.
Governors from across the nation convened at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, for a historic face-to-face meeting with President-elect Barack Obama.
Hawaii's governor was absent.
"She wasn't there, she batted that hand of friendship away today. It's astounding, incomprehensible," said Congressman Neil Abercrombie, (D) Hawaii.
"My actions were not meant to be in any way disrespectful of the President-elect or anyone else," said Gov. Linda Lingle.
Lingle says she made a "practical" decision to skip the meeting.

During the meeting in Philadelphia, the governors discussed with Obama ways to get the economy back on track, and how to put more Americans back to work.
"The President of the United States has reached out to the state saying tell me what programs and projects you'd like to have, and I'm going to help you implement it. The governor of the state of Hawaii says she's not interested," said Abercrombie.
But Lingle says she doesn't think she missed much by declining the invitation.
"There was nothing substantive that came out of the meeting today. All the brew ha ha was caused by a couple of political types who don't know the election is over here in Hawaii," said Lingle.

I think what happened was that Obama went to Hawaii to try to plant a birth certificate and Lingle wouldn’t let him.
Or maybe he went to Hawaii to try to REMOVE or ALTER his birth certificate and she wouldn’t let him. She had it sealed instead and that REALLY ticked him off!

It's also quite noticeable that Obama "hates" dogs. The dog issue came up about the same time that Michelle was assuring us that Obama ate bacon.
That's "3" things that are associated with his Muslim heritage.
Then there's Reverend Wrong. Christians and "good people" say "God Bless America" all the time. IIRC, Reverend Wrong was a Muslim also.
interesting - forgot about the dog issue - wonder if there are any photos of him eating pork bbq or hot dogs on the campaign trail? or when he wanted to eat his pancakes in peace did it come with a side of bacon?
I saw one of his half-eaten breakfast plates with half a sausage on it.

About the dog...The Obama's said one daughter was allergic and that's why "No Dog For You"...But you can tell by his attitude that he wants nothing to do with the dog and is totally repulsed by the thought. I expect the dog won't last long and will be "auctioned off" to raise money for some "Community Organization" like the UAW. :-)
So the Hawaii Gov gets flack for not leaving her state and Sarah gets crap for leaving her state. These ladies are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

...your comment reminded me, Abercrombie is the ONLY person in Hawaii who appears to have a recollection of Stanley Ann and obama snr together. He’s almost word-perfect in following the ‘Dreams from my Father’ narrative.
