Just wait - SS is on the same road ... pretty soon there will be more people on SS than working people supporting it ...

Every member of the UAW, management on down, should get on their knees and apologize to those 600,000.

In this Nov. 3 article, the UAW says the $25 Billion is needed to pay for the health benefits of 780,000 union retirees and their dependents.

Yikes!

Another thing, I demand to know the details of said health care package. If we start paying for it, I want open scrutiny. I have done some research and it is really rich, health, vision, hearing, dental, etc. And they get it FOR LIFE! You know it has to be a Rolls Royce plan or the retirees would simply agree to go on Medicare like the rest of us at age 65. Go ahead and scream at me that we don't need to be adding more people to the government dole. What is the alternative? Would you rather hand them billions and billions of dollars, over and over again, to continue paying for a plan that is far beyond what the average American gets?

I think if the details of the retirees plan were revealed, the American people would revolt at the prospect of paying for it with our tax money.
