Actually, I find a lot of young conservatives that never drink.

Please don't add me to that frightening category

God gave us beer because He loves us and wants us to be happy.

I am sure you meant this as a joke, but it is actually biblical.

Proverbs says that God gave wine to make the heart of man happy. No kidding. Drunkenness is frowned on, but levity of spirit is fine. Just quoting the book.

Would you, or do you, drink non-alcoholic beer or non-alcoholic wine, and if so, how much?

No, not regularly anyway. Occasionally my mother's family will buy non-alcoholic wine for a get together. That's about the only time I ever drink it.

This group does good work. I drink a toast to them. And another, God Bless them. And one more, for the road.

The one closest to the camera is definitely not guilty on all counts. Plus she receives a pre-emptive pardon for any crimes she may be accused of in the future.

Their point of view is that our body belongs to God and we should not do anything to corrupt it.

They are welcome to consider their bodies as belonging to God. Anybody who displays an attitude that MY body belongs to anybody but who I CHOOSE to give it to, I will resist. If need be, with deadly force.

I know Jesus Christ partook wine but I wonder how strong that wine was and how the Lord worked with alcoholics back then.

Back in the Middle East (and the Mediterranean in general), wine was available for so long, and the margin for survival was so narrow, that anybody susceptible to alcoholism had selected themselves out of the gene pool.

...and no, it wasn’t grape juice. The partygoers were so impressed they were chewing out the host for not bringing out the good stuff earlier (and partygoers don’t chew out the host for hoarding grape juice).

The major theme faced in these battles is the difference between positive and negative liberties.

Don't speak of "positive liberties". What you call "positive liberties" are more properly called entitlements.

A right is something you can do which nobody is allowed to interfere with. An entitlement is something which you can demand that others provide you with. Confusing these two entirely different things plays into the socialists hands.

I wish these women would be more successful.

They were "more successful," once. The Purple Gang sends thanks.

>(and partygoers don’t chew out the host for hoarding grape juice).

Yep, it’s the equivalent of running out of Budweiser and then bringing out the Sam Adams.

“Alcohol is related to 40% of all violent crime and 40% of all automobile accidents.”

I don’t believe you. A source would be nice.

“Its amazing to me that alcohol gets the light treatment that it does in society.”

You’re kidding right?

Alcohol is related to 40% of all violent crime and 40% of all automobile accidents.

Firearms are responsible for a large percentage of murders in this country. Should the fact that people abuse their 2nd Amendment rights mean the rest of us should lose our right to bear arms?

Similarly, some people are unable to use alcohol responsibly. Does that mean the rest of us should be deprived of our rights?

*shrug* - I don’t know if he is or not; personally, I’m of the belief that humans are the cause of [human] society’s ills.

Looking closely at the picture, I don't think that will be a problem.
