God gave us beer because He loves us and wants us to be happy.
I am sure you meant this as a joke, but it is actually biblical.
Proverbs says that God gave wine to make the heart of man happy. No kidding. Drunkenness is frowned on, but levity of spirit is fine. Just quoting the book.
