Supreme Court Silent on Obama Birth Certificate Lawsuit

2008_12_05_scprotest.jpgThe Supreme Court made no announcement today whether or not it will hear Donofrio v. Wells, the lawsuit challenging the election based on Barack Obama's release - or alleged lack thereof - of his official birth certificate and his citizenship status. (The court did decide to hear two cases, one of which is the case of Ali Saleh Kahlah al-Marri, an Al Qaeda combatant seized on American soil.) Of course, there's no guarantee the Court will ever actually issue any statement on the Obama case since it was simply petitioned to the court and, along with hundreds of other cases, could be dismissed without any comment at all. But as Frank James, over at The Swamp, says, "the lack of an announcement doesn't mean the court definitely won't hear Donofrio." So either we will or we won't. Hmm.

Meanwhile, our comrades at our sister site DCist scoped out a protest held by supporters of the Donofrio cause at the Supreme Court this morning led by Roger Bredow, who claims Obama has duel citizenship.

The Supreme Court will announce whether it will actually consider the Obama lawsuit as early as today and as late as Monday. If (as expected) the Court tosses the suit, Bredow will start challenging Obama's legitimacy based on "foreign money that went into his campaign." Other protestors said they'd start contacting members of the Electoral College. Steve Brindle, who drove down from Pennsylvania, said he'd called his senators yesterday.

"There aren't a lot of people out here today," said Brindle. "There are a lot of people talking about this back home. Really, everyone's asking questions."

Of course, only 15 to 20 people showed so...yeah.

Either way, nothing will ever outweigh the rage we felt this morning when we read that Obama has allegedly chosen a Zune over an iPod. We're whipping up a petition as we speak and expect a protest very, very soon.

And when and how did he become a citizen of the USA? If the laws recognize paternity and jurisdiction of flows from the father to the son. How would he have lost his Kenyan Citizenship and when did acquire US citizenship.

The United States recognizes and affirms the laws of other nations as relates to their citizens and as such Obama has his roots legally in Kenya.

He still has three BC’s as well:

1. His original BC before adoption, that was sealed upon his adoption.

2. His new adopted identity BC with his Stepfather.

3. His new change of name identity BC or one from another country.

They are all at variance with each other and conflict with Obama’s story.

BTW, having found his birth certificate amongst his mothers belongings, why did he not submit that as proof of his identity instead of an abstract?

How is "our side" helped by ignoring the doubts about The One's birthplace and/or nationality?

Because there are no serious doubts. There's no real evidence for any of this. There might -- MIGHT -- be some argument to be made that having a non-American father might make you a ... non-natural-born citizen -- but there's NOTHING that seriously suggests he was born anywhere but in Hawaii, and the continual claims of that non-issue have really made it impossible to intelligently discuss the first, POSSIBLE issue of his father's citizenship. (Which, separately, as best I can tell, wouldn't preclude an American-born person from being considered natural-born, based on case law.)

“The Constitution was written for an honest, intelligent and moral people.”

Which, of course, most Americans are none of the above. Your point is well taken. Sadly so, but well taken.

“Do you know who now is in charge of vouchsafing the constitutional standard that a President be a natural born citizen? The POLITICAL PARTY OF THAT CANDIDATE. Do you not find that constitutionally abhorrent and just plain gross?”

Not to mention they seem to have no obligation to any citizen to publicly produce evidence of eligibility. Just take our word for it. Yeah, right.

“2. His new adopted identity BC with his Stepfather.”

He wasn’t adopted under Hawaiian law. So, in Hawaii there would be no new BC. Besides, the version he posted showed B.H. Obama (African) as his father. If Hawaii had changed it upon adoption, it would read Sotero.

Yes..., absolutely and definitely, he would have not only lost, but I believe the Democrats would be scrambling for a quick replacement and not have him running.

Wrong. Obama voters would've been even more ecstatic to vote for the sob. Look at them!!!

WANT PIE!

Maybe if this had been done earlier we would have Hillary as POTUS elect. But after the conventions, and certainly now, fuggedaboutit.

Other than that Mrs Lincoln, have a nice weekend.

Why can’t some member of the Democratic Party sue the DNC to see actual proof (his vault birth certificate)?

The GOP senators prevented Obama from inserting that text. It was clearly set up to try to achieve the result of having a legislative text (although it would have been unconstitutional, I’m sure, if it was ever tested) giving Barry cover. He was the one who proposed the text.

PS - If he was adopted by Sotero....shouldn’t there be legal paperwork on file changing his name back to Obama? Unless, Indonesian proceedings aren’t recognized by the U.S.?

Wilson’s mother was an American at the time of his birth. Thus, Wilson was born in the U.S. to two American citizens.

Obama was born to an American mother and a British father. Hello.

This may or may not have an impact on his status as a “natural born citizen,” but no one the hell knows that for sure.

Excerpt from here:

http://naturalborncitizen.wordpress.com/

WOODROW WILSON

Born December 28, 1856 - the 28th President, born in Staunton, Virginia.

Wilson’s mother was from Carlisle, England. His father was a US citizen from Ohio. Wilson’s mother gained US citizenship when she married his father according to a congressional Act of February 1855, which stated,

“any woman who might lawfully be naturalized under existing laws, married, or shall be married to a citizen of the United States, shall be deemed and taken to be a citizen.” [Act of February 10, 1855, 10 Stat. 604, section 2]

This was called derivative citizenship. This act was enacted in 1855. Woodrow Wilson was born in December 1856. He was born in the US, both parents were US citizens - natural born citizen.

Or maybe her family just wanted it out there that Ann had actually married Barack I and that Barack II was not illegitimate.

It was 1961, you know.

I was in my local art association’s gallery setting something up and I wandered into a room of new paintings, a number of them by a black artist (I knew this because his photo was at the door). Dominating the display was a painting of a radiant looking Obama. I practically made the sign of the cross and backed out of the room.

These Obamaphiles are nuts. How in the world can they be this gaga over a complete unknown with absolutely no track record, no history, no ideas. Is skin color really the only thing blacks think about? And what in the heck was going through the minds of the non-black voters who voted for him? They’re all nuts.

But there is no evidence that Obama was not born in Hawaii. He has a birth certificate, AND the state of Hawaii has said repeatedly its real.

Additionally, that doesnt matter because Obama is a citizen even if he was born outside the country, because his mother was a citizen. McCain was born in panama, and he is a natural born citizen.

I feel like this controversy is a waste of time.

I'm sorry, it's just all too much

Yes--it is all too much. Reverend Wright........Associations with Ayers, Odinga, his illegal relatives in Boston.......giving out $$$$$ to groups that will then help him in your elections.......Michelle doubled salary with his senate election......... No college roommates remembering him at Columbia .....No records released of his grades.....no legislative records for review from Illinois.......no records from Occidental....no papers from the Harvard Law review.....No birth certificate.....actually fighting the release of his vault birth certificate. No family time with his dear Grandmother for his children before her death. Or any time with her as they were growing up...... No papers to show his numerous name changes. No records of how his education was sponsored. Unbelievably quick rise in politics without accomplishments. No review or vetting by the MSM. Election donations without requiring legitimate addresses....foreign aide.............

Yes it is all quite unbelievable. Our undocumented President Elect.

Again, it’s not about the birth certificate or the place of birth.

Way more issues here. The only question is have those issues been raised in a legally cognizable way to the SCOTUS.
