Look, I’ve stopped posting on these threads because while you think this is something to pursue, I think it’s not a good idea. In my opinion if you are born in this country regardless of your parent’s status, you are American end of story. This has always been the case hence anchor babies...you can not change the rules because our guy lost. That being said, everyone has a right to their opinion.
That's the difference. You are arguing opinion. We are arguing the Constitution and the law. The latter matters. The former (yours or mine) ultimately doesn't. We debate, then? Because we (or at least some of us) are tying to work through what the LAW actually says and how it actually applies here.

No, that is NOT how it has "always been." That is one of the topics we've discussed here. The rules for becoming a "natural born citizen" have changed over time. That's one of the issues -- which laws apply, the ones in effect when the Obamanation was born (most likely) or the ones in effect now. And we aren't "changing the rules," unless there is some secret cabal that has used a time machine to change the language of the Constitution.
That being said, everyone has a right to their opinion.
