There will also be something new this year — an Obama crescent and star.

I worship football. Can we get them to hang up a nice pigskin next to the star and crescent?

What exactly is it that Allah worshippers are celebrating this December? Ramadan has been over for months.

Maybe next ramadan we can erect a nativity scene and a menorah beside the local mosque?

"Arab-Americans and Muslim Americans are Americans and respect other religions. They know that Christmas is a big holiday and they're glad to be included."

The Muzzies celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ? The homosexuals aren't going to be very happy about this.

pretty disgusting.
another attempt, like Kwaanza, to diminish the importance of Christmas.

Christianity is what made western civilization great. And our world rejecting its principles and teachings accelerates the crumbling thereof.

I celebrate Saturnalia, but I don’t live in Armonk. We have a Christmas tree is our (postage stamp size) village green, with a menorah, tree, and Kwanzaa candle-thingy at the Township hall.

There will also be something new this year — an Islamic crescent and star.

Will it have a bomb-belt on?

I celebrate Saturnalia, but I don't live in Armonk, so won't be petitioning said town (or any other town) to represent me via a sacrifice of wild boar and an orgy. We have a Christmas tree is our (postage stamp size) village green, with a menorah, tree, and Kwanzaa candle-thingy at the Township hall.

Yes, because when one think of Christmas, naturally you think of the Islamic Crescent. /sarc

Maybe the key here is that the creepy crescent is attached to a plain aluminum pole!

Maybe, its for FESTIVUS,
the celebration for the rest of us!

In the news, Saturday Dec. 13, 2008:

When they light the town Christmas tree in Armonk on Sunday, there will be a Jewish menorah right alongside, as usual. There will also be something new this year — an Islamic crescent and star . . . .

Headline Monday Dec. 15, 2008

Christmas Tree, Menorah offensive to Islam
Muslims Demand Christmas Tree, Menorah Be Removed
"The Islamic crescent and star must be the only holiday display," say Muslims. "And a foot wash."

I say let's put the most positive spin on this intrusion. How about if we interpret the star and crescent to be representative of the Magi(Three Kings) who traveled from the East in search of the Christ child. Weren't they thought by some scholars to be Persian?
