"In all due respect to the Republican National Committee... I think we should try to be working constructively together, not only on an issue such as this, but on the economy stimulus package, reforms that are necessary," McCain said in an exclusive "This Week" interview with George Stephanopoulos.

Go ahead Senator. Playing nice with them got you rolled. You sir, have sadly just become a useful tool for the Dems. A Bob Dole redux easy opponent, now their water carrier. Sad to see an American hero end up like this.

Damn I hate McCain. Has any politician ever stabbed his own party in the back more than he has? The list of betrayals and insults seems endless.

Seems after he lost his ass, Bob Dole left the scene gracefully.

Sort of true...if you don't count the Viagra advertisement.

McCain is a traitor and a dirt-bag. He should be listed on America’s Most Wanted.

“Sen. John McCain, D-Ariz.”

my first thought.......and, when I call McCain’s office, this is exactly what I will tell him. It killed me to vote for this guy.....he’s lucky his opponent was so scary, and thanks to McCain, we wound up with the scary guy as Pres. Why doesn’t McCain just switch ...at least he’d then be honest. He makes me sick.

This just makes me more and more glad that he lost.

Me too. I just wish his defeat would have occurred during the primary.

There are very few true conservative, pro-Constitution, pro-family leaders left in DC.

McCain is definitely not one of them.

But we already knew that, didn’t we?

McCain was basically campaigning for Obama in the last 6 weeks. This is no surprise.

I guess John McLame is going to stick around being an ungraceful ass.

F'ing over all your imaginary enemies takes time.

McCain Takes Swipe at GOP on Blago Scandal

And that, my dear friends, is why the Drive-By Media chose, supported and touted this guaranteed loser to be GOP Presidential Candidate.

Yet one more reason many conservatives couldn't even choke down pulling the lever for McCain.

"You can put lipstick on a pig (McCain) but you still have a pig (RINO!)

And the RINOs at the RNC think that it's the "social conservatives" that are THE problem with the party (or the Big Tent, aka Homosexuals, or "fiscal conservatives"), while they vote for every big government program that comes along.

It's always about taking taxpayer money to dangle at their home folks to get re-elected, bribing people with their own money!

No one want's to vote for conservative-lite (read liberal/moderate) when what they really want is a true blue conservative!

McCain listens to nothing other than his inner voice. Remember, this was that idiot that should have been flunked out of the Naval Academy.

“If he won, there was a good chance that he would have destroyed the Republican Party.”

The R party is already destroyed as far as being a voice for traditionalism, conservatism, limited government and defense of the Constitution.

The results of the election may invigorate the conservative grassroots. Or they may not. In some sense, Obama may have been the lesser of two evils for the long term health and survival of the conservative movement and the Republic.

THe republican party is destroyed. The GOP owns the coming depression and may as well resign itself to insignificance. Conservatives for too long thought it was their party with idiots like Jorge Arbusto and amnesty McCain. Conservatives had better realize that conservatism is a movement not a party and it’s time to gravitate to a third party that actually stands for something. Time to burry the GOP, we may even have to destroy it ourselves to make a third party viabl;e.

There’s not really much of a swipe here just the mainstream media trying to create a diversion for the 0.
