Pentagon resources and U.S. troops may be used if needed to quell protests and bank runs during an economic crisis, the U.S. Army War College's Strategic Institute reported.
"Widespread civil violence inside the United States would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security," the War College study states.
Incidents of economic collapse, terrorism and disruption of legal order could require deployment of forces within the U.S., it said.
A "strategic shock" could require the nation to use "military force against hostile groups inside the United States."

I think the impetus behind the spike in gun sales had more to do with the realization of this possibility than the probability of future gun control.

Seems to me the government is the hostile entity here.
Domestic enemies. The Democrats threaten riots if Obama didn’t win. The Supreme Court is afraid to look at his Constitutional eligibility due to fear of mobs and riots. We, as a free nation, are in perilous times.

I get unnerved by the constant CT reports of looming civil unrest and widespread mayhem by folks similar in nature to the financial elites who repetitively insist nobody should be using the “D” word (when they are the only ones bringing it up).

Of course, Obama's Civilian Security Force will not be covered by Posse Comitatus and therefore free to shoot us at will. Our troops will be otherwise engaged and unable to aid us. We're on our own!

I have been saying for some time now that this WILL happen..I think the handwriting is on the wall. The libs, with the elistist Obama, are pushing the envelope as far as they can and it is up to average citizens to stop them.
There isn’t enough troops to watch this whole country. I think if whitey starts rioting It will make all previous riots look like romper room.

Yeah, when those nice monthly govt. checks quit coming in (both welfare and social security) or they can’t be cashed, look out because the game will be “on”. The “have-nots” will get hungry quick and they’ll be looking for the “haves”. Its not an “IF”, its a “WHEN”...
The economy has spiraled out of control and its just a matter of time now before it totally crashes...BIG TIME. The Elites know it and want to survive the coming revolt and riots, when, in fact, they should be tried for treason, then dealt with accordingly since they caused the whole mess to begin with.

We would have already seen footage of bank runs except that now with online banking people can get access to their money without physically going to the bank. Of course, if that shuts down, I expect to see some really nasty riots...
