THE FINAL ABSURDITY
Financial Sense Online ^ | 12/19/2008 | J.R.Nyquist

Posted on 12/19/2008 5:38:52 PM PST by mick

And yet, despite the absurdities on every side, President Bush excuses himself by saying, “I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system.” Oh ye of little faith! The free market doesn’t need you to save it! Even if it happens to collapse, it will recover if you leave it alone. The habit of government expansion and intervention has now reached this final absurdity – that of being “saved” by those who are choking the life out of it.

“I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system.”

Bush - A complete tool IMO. This statement sums up his oxymoronic approach to governing. Cannot go away soon enough/

“I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system.”

That is about equivalent to sex saving virginity.

I know it sounds better if you say it in street terms.

“I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system.”

I have seen that hubris in virtually every politician in contemporary America that I have come across, from my local County politicians, to virtually every Senator from every state in the United States (except maybe Coburn and Demint), with very very few exceptions. And the women are every bit as bad, or worse, ala, Pelosi, Hillary, etc. as the men.

That is, they ARE, by the definition below, Leftists. But, tragically it is also seems to be a reflection of the very populace who vote them in. That is, like some deep insecurity, sweeping across an entire nation, insists they, us, we, I, know what is good for other people. When in fact, freedom, human dignity, is the respect, so much respect, for other human beings that you trust them to face, live, and weather, their own decisions, just as you would have them allow you to live your own decisions.

We (The Suntrade Institute) said it repeatedly here on Free Republic, that when Bill Clinton was in Impeachment before the United States Senate, it was a Republican Senator who said something like, "the American People cannot handle losing a President at this time," with his (Clinton's) subsequent reprieve.

For you who are younger than sixty years old, I have seen Presidents, die in Office, assassinated in Office, resigned from Office, demured from Office, terminated from Office, etc., and I think the basic initiatives, enterprise, and resilience of the good, honest, courageous, industrious people (who are of course fewer and fewer) carried on fine.

The MEDIA is the biggest bunch of S** ever organized in this country. Sulzbergers, Redstone, Zell, Murdock, CBS,ABC, NBC. They are the Enemy.

You heard it here from the Suntrade Institute.

Sex and abortion saving virginity of the neverborn alive... ah... irony indeed. So I guess they intend to adopt socialism and keep socialism to the death.

It’s like the old PSA about cocaine from the 80’s;
I do coke...so I can work longer…… so I can earn more....so I can buy more coke. Etc.

With the Government it’s...
We spend tax revenue than we take from you.....so you can worker longer….so you can earn more……..so we can spend more tax revenue than we take from you….. so you can work more…………………….

When I first read the article I posted above I was reminded of that old quote from August 4, 1914 by British Foreign Secretary Sir Edward Grey as the storm clouds of WW1 grew......only this time it could be said about America and what our political leaders are doing to this economy:

“The lights are going out all over Europe. We shall not see them lit again in our lifetime”.

Isn’t that the time when the owners walk away from their factories and tell the Barney Frank’s of the world, “Here. Take it, it’s yours”?

That will be the day this country starts to recover it’s soul.

It doesn’t sound any more intelligent than, “We had to destroy the village in order to save it.”
