Personally, If I was jewish I might be concerned about Obama’s presidency not because of some concocted muslim association he had as a child, which is simply too silly to contemplate, but because he’s black. I get the impression that blacks and jews are not the greatest of friends. However Obama is a Christian now, in his grown-up years, and has stated that he supports Israel. I haven’t seen any evidence that contradicts his statement. Politically, practically, and morally, that is and should be his policy.
Disagree strongly.
He attended a church for 20 years which had a mission statement that was not at all Christian, in my view. It followed a religion based on Africa and skin color, with some vague Christian trappings. It also had ties to the Nation of Islam. I saw his "church" as a political construct having virtually nothing to do with spiritual matters. And when things got hot and Obama stopped attending, he did not seek out another church, he just stopped attending services.
Also, based on various statements he has made in interviews ("there are many paths to God") I have to declare him to be the first non-Christian president we've ever had.
