My kids go to a great school where Christmas songs were sung and many teachers are Christians. I do not support such a move.
You clearly do not live in the Pacific Northwest.
“My kids go to a great school where Christmas songs were sung and many teachers are Christians. I do not support such a move.”
A choice that you, as a parent, have a right to make for yourself and your own family.
However, the property tax system which funds government schools does not afford Christians the right to equitably direct our family resources to a non-government school (or home school).
OTHERS are not so fortunate. Have some sympathy for them and support CHOICE - VOUCHERS!
I’m happy for your kids! Now...what about those who DON’T have what yours do?
I am with you. On the one hand, I prefer my kids to stay inside my Christian bubble and not be subjected to indoctrination. On the other hand, I prefer them to hear that stuff, live in it, while I teach them the truth. In the end, I just lay them on Christ’s altar and send them to public school. I know they do and say ungodly things when I am not there, but they did that in Christian school too. Listen to Casting Crowns “Slow to Fade”. I will be working on that concept with my teens.
