Hume did announce it last Tuesday on his last Special Report.

I was surprised it wasn’t Chris Wallace.

Since I don’t watch Faux News-Obama, I’ve never heard of the guy. Is this a good/bad thing?

Bret is a bit green and no where near the political insight of Brit Hume. That being said he comes across very fair and I think he’s a pretty straight shooter.

Bret has been filling in for Brit for years now so it comes as no surprise. He doesn't quite have the same disposition and certainly doesn't seem to be willing to confront nutty libs.

But he should do well. Certainly better than Shep, or either of the belted boys lush brigade. I might have preferred Bill Sammon.

Other than Brit, Bret is the best.

Bret is fairly young, but I like the pick. I thought for a while there it was going to be (barf) Mike Wallace.

Since I don’t watch Faux News-Obama

Your commentary within that statement says you're not exactly telling the truth.

I agree, he is a bit “lite” compared to the doughty Britt Hume.

No, better not; your logic is flawed.

Seems to me that it's you who's lacking the logic to catch your own illogical statement when you stated: "Since I don’t watch Faux News-Obama"

You are forming two opinions within your statement: first, "Faux News" and secondly "Faux News-Obama". You are saying that FOX news is not genuine or real in their reporting. To be able to form that opinion, you had to have been watching. Your second opinion about how FOX news is an Obama news channel cannot be formulated unless you had been watching enough to form the opinion that the station was sort of siding with or helping Obama.

So, "since I don't watch Faux News-Obama" is a self-contradicting statement.

“I could care less.”

Based on your home page, you make a lot of generalizations with virtually no thought whatsoever. IOW, you talk/post just to stir the pot with no intent to contribute in a positive fashion. Good luck.

I remember Bret telling how Tony Snow welcomed him back to the White House briefings.

Bret got very choked up telling how Tony was so supportive during his babies illness.

Jim Angle would have been better, but he doesn’t fill the young “heartthrob” role that Baier does.
