The second law of thermodynamics is an expression of the universal law of increasing entropy, stating that the entropy of an isolated system which is not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium.

Tell me more about how the human body, for the law to be applicable, can be considered an isolated system. Give me the modes of isolation, and the range of the properties that ensure this isolation.

Here's the creationist view of the 2nd Law:

Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it.

If something is overriding the 2nd law to decrease entropy in living systems, please tell me what that is.

Simply poring energy at something isn’t enough. In order for entropy to decrease, work needs to be done in and on the system. What is the source of work?
