Pelosi sketches strategy on key issues

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in a post-inauguration interview with Bay Area reporters Wednesday, said she will move far-reaching climate change legislation this year, but opposes - at least for now - the idea of Congress approving another costly bailout for troubled banks.

The San Francisco Democrat, arguably the second most powerful person in Washington, with immense power to shape the legislative agenda, sought to tamp down expectations about how quickly Congress and President Obama will address vexing problems, from a weak economy to an ailing health care system.

"We can't fix it all overnight," she said from her Capitol office overlooking the Mall, "but we have to begin."

Pelosi said one of her favorite moments from Inauguration Day was when Marine One lifted off the Capitol grounds, signifying former President George W. Bush's exit from Washington. "It felt like a 10-pound anvil was lifted off my head," she said.

Bush was understandably in a hurry to get away from Pelosi’s stench.

Why? The media and left have trashed GWB so thoroughly these past 8 years that comments like that just roll off the American people.

“We can’t fix it all overnight,” she said from her Capitol office overlooking the Mall,

That’s right and there is know one but Democrats to blame it on now!”

All Democrats know how to do is break things and mess things up and spend the rest of the time blaming others for their ineptitude.

for 8 years the left have been moaning about Bush and have been fighting tooth and nail against him.
Saying dissent is patriotic bla bla.

Now when Bush took over the kids working with Clinton did stupid classless immature things like taking keyboard buttons etc.

Now Bush hands things over and he does it with class, give praise and makes phony welcome etc.

What does the Dems do again, ?
Well they act like little kids with no class, .Phonies speech had nothing for Bush but sly digs and the rest of the Dems have been putting down Bush and the GOP.

They make me sick I did not agree with bush on certain issues but he had class and so did his wife.
We now have a racist with angry bitter racist wife who both hang around with terrorists, Marxist’s and racists.

Just been reported that one of phonies staff said don’t give any bailout money to white contractors.
Then there’s the balls the other night where rappers were saying get out white our president is black, N%%%%% this and that.

It contained lots of racist crap aimed at whites and the blacks there cheered a lot.

The Dems are certainly classless
Is this the change you voted for idiots

Now if she can just get rid of the twenty pounds of rocks inside her head she’ll be just fine.

If she thinks Bush is a 10 pound gavel, wait until the Obama Rock of Gibraltar lands on her. This is a man who brooks no interference and he only talks about cooperation and fair play. But that’s for the other guys, not him!

The worst part is that Republicans bend over backwards to be kind and considerate to these turds. For the last 8 years, Republicancs and conservatives have been crapped on by the democRATS. Why? Because it works. Lies and trash talk, when done persistently, are effective. Obviously the public eats it up and asks for more.

The Republican party - conservatives in general - need to swat back at this filth. They need to do so with just as much piss and vinegar as has been applied against them.

It is sickening to watch the Republicans and conservatives stand back and do nothing while the RATS pile it on...again and again.

“we need to bombard her email with our dislike of her remarks.”

Who are we? Just little people. And besides, I think her common sense has evaporated.

"We can't fix it all overnight," she said from her Capitol office overlooking the Mall,

Well san fran nan, please don't do any more fix'in like you have since 2007. Your past two years have been nothing but "EPIC FAIL".

"but we have to begin."

Everyone seems to be focused on the “anvil” comment. I found the more telling comment to be later in the article, relating to proposing a “Cap-and-trade” system to reduce greenhouse gases.

“I believe we have to because we see that as a source of revenue,” she said, noting that proposed cap-and-trade bills would raise billions of dollars by forcing major emitters to buy credits to release greenhouse gases. “Cap-and-trade is there for a reason. You cap and you trade so you can pay for some of these investments in energy independence and renewables.”

Its never been about saving the planet, its about funding the government. They simply want to drive their agenda and this is as good a way to fund it, as any other.

Thank you, I guess I got lazy, I googled her info and got her phone number, too, and left a message. Also sent an email but it came back to me. My senator is getting about 2 letters a day from me. He will know me by the time this is over...or at least his staff will know me. I want replies on each letter I write, too.
