Interesting, but I don't think any conclusions can be drawn about whether the State of Hawaii would issue a COLB to a non-citizen based on what the Territory of Hawaii did involving a very special individual nearly 60 years earlier.
I noticed some other posters agreed with me that there is no hard evidence that Maya Soetoro was issued a COLB. She must have become a citizen in some other way.
For all anyone knows Ann Stanley may not have known she was pregnant when traveling, or she was pregnant shortly after beginning her travel, whatever shortly means here, it’s just speculation.
The whole idea that she traveled at all before giving birth is much more speculative than anything I said.
His actions do not lend confidence. That’s a fact.
I agree that it would be much better if he arranged release of his original birth certificate.
There are many examples of persons not born in Hawaii being issued a COLB. The requirements are that parents had previously resided in Hawaii during the year prior to the birth. Those requirements still exist today. It has nothing to do with Sun-Yatsen’s time of birth, he is only a famous example.
See Post #205 for a court filing referring to Maya Soetoro. If those attorneys presented a statement relating to her COLB without factual backup then they are extremely incompetent and negligent attorneys. I will presume they have evidence. I could be wrong but I know lawyers would no more present hearsay in court than they would tell a judge in court to shove off.
The fact that you would ‘notice’ other posters finding no evidence and draw the conclusion that she has no COLB is in itself evidence that you believe what you want to believe. Those posters did not conclude there was no COLB, they merely mentioned they had difficulty researching her COLB.
I will weigh a court filing reference more that a couple of web posters who are having difficulty researching the evidence.
