Wow,Barry is in for a rude awakening. He will step on a lot of toes along the way. Unfortunately he might also bring the country down.

It’s AMAZING what the ‘internets’ can do. ;) Hehe. Seen it first hand.

Arrogant S.O.B.

Yeah, he is. I’m not surprised though—I’m sure all the worship has caused him to believe his own press. And, heck, perception is often reality.

So much for “reaching across the aisle”, huh?

Dictator!!

Let's just call this what it REALLY is, a dictatorship. A 'do what I tell you to' attitude is nothing but the arrogance of a dictator.

And so the Fairness Doctrine gets reinstated very soon

If the Fairness Doctrine is going to be passed then the republicans had best prepare a lawsuit forcing the networks to hire 50% conservatives, and the newspapers to hire 50% conservatives. After all, radio isn't the only thing the government has control of, so it had better be constitutional. It's all or nothing baby.

I don’t think taxes had anything to do with this.

I'm afraid Americans voted for Obama KNOWING that he is a tax and spend man. The signs were all there from the beginning. He would tax the upper 5% and give a "tax cut" to the other 95%. That was the hallmark of his tax policy.

He also said to Joe the Plumber that he would like to SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND because it is "good for the country".

He also said he would let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010. He also said he was in favor of reinstating the Estate tax.

Let's face it -- HE WON WITH THIS PLATFORM. Most Americans elected him KNOWING HIS INCLINATIONS.

Obama is correct. He won and now gets to call the shots. This is why the GOP/Conservatives have to field good candidates and win. We will never prevail if we don’t win elections. Every Freeper should be working his or her a$$ off to elect Republicans in his or her state...to elected offices of every level-local, state and national.

Hey A**hat, you won one branch of government. You still have to deal with two other branches of government and 535 people who represent the other 304 million Americans.

Yours is only one opinion contained in the Silly Putty you call a brain and George Soros massages for you. You have never had an original thought on America including your stupid “Hope-less” “Chance” by a Changeling. In fact, you got your dumb ideas from your campaign manager who worked for leftists in south america, where he honed his message which he taught you to co-opt.

The republicans need to get a back bone and stick it to this chump. They need to get the message out that there is a better way based on sound American principles.

Not Some Charlatan idea of “for the greater good”.

Oh yeah and we are painting a target on you rino’s. We will fund your opposition just cuz’.

Obama, you only won the seat of the President and you, will, negotiate with the rest of us or you are going to be miserable getting nothin’ done. How do you say that in Indonesian?

Oh and I finally saw the video where you almost become unhinged while your supporters are asking you questions and doing their job. That is very near to assault and you need to keep your hands to yourself, or maybe you were trying to cop a feel. Believe it or not I saw it on CNN.

I think you may be losing your base support. If you can’t stand the heat get out of the fire.

In fact, do us all a favor and leave. You are going to be exposed by the comic book that first gave us a look at John Edwards private life and you are much more delicious meal for that dragon.

I was referring to him being able to avoid winding up like Carter at the end of four years. His policies are not going to accomplish what he thinks they will. And in the end, he’ll be leaving the place in a shambles.

I do agree he’s already on his way to that end

Primarily due to the growth of technology, a more integrated global economy, and the relentless pursuit of efficiency by businesses; the "time constants" for economic processes and market forces are orders of magnitude smaller than they were during the Carter administration.

There have been several very good articles posted to Free Republic lately that have pointed out the failure of stochastic techniques and "accepted" financial theories such as the Black-Scholes option-pricing model to measure and forecast risk.

In 2007, David Viniar, Chief Financial Officer of Goldman Sachs, told the Financial Times that there had been "25-standard-deviation moves several days in a row." The market has always been smarter than the political puffins we keep electing. Now it is very much faster, and well inside the Observe Orient Decide Act (OODA) loop of ANY political leader or government process.

For the next four years the negative economic impacts of Obama's decisions are going to kick him in the teeth before his signature is dry on the Executive Order.

Anyone who has flown high-performance aircraft or worked on control systems for complex machines will tell you that you need a light, deft, touch, and want to minimize the magnitude of your inputs lest you end up in "pilot induced oscillations (PIO)" and an out of control state.

Minimizing the inputs and drag from government are essential to the recovery of the economy. However, that simple insight is beyond the mental abilities of democrats.

They firmly believe the levers of power they hold are connected to some kind of capacity to improve the economy. Regardless of what they do, the only effects they can have are to deploy the speed brakes and cut fuel flow to the engines.

Obama's arrogance will be his downfall. He is going to take the country down with him and, in two years, his own party will be trying to run him out of town when the American people realize the damn fool is an incompetent fraud.

Obama cannot be successful in reviving the economy because his ideas are proven failures.

I can see this getting out of hand really quickly. Our sons have teachers comparing Obama to Hitler, turning off video of the inauguration and saying, “I can’t take this anymore,” and “if Obama and Biden die, who becomes POTUS?” (son is only child in class who knows it’s Pelosi, so he answers) Teacher says, “God help us!” These are three examples from three different teachers. I have three children coming home with stories about teachers and/or classmates and the unhappiness with the new political landscape. We live in a district represented by a flaming liberal. The people here seem to be strongly opposed to Obama. Our sons are hearing racial jokes that they have never heard before. It’s surreal.

The problem is that over-controlling always leads to oscillating, which leads to cratering.

We know that The Messiah is willing to take 330 million people into the ground with him, since he actually believes himself as some kind of Socialist SuperSaver.

How many of those 330 million are willing to follow him into destruction? And, should we stand in their way?

Part of me wants to let the deadwood burn, and build on the ashes.

You are right. It's going to hurt people really bad but that will be the lesson they will need.

Let the jackass run this country into the ground and devastate this economy beyond all recognition and there won't be another Democrat president elected for a generation.

You cannot teach a younger generation who knows it all. They have to screw up really bad and find themselves in the gutter to find their own clue.

I don't think this country will just be damaged by this jerk. I think Obama will devastate America as no president has in our entire history. The guy is a dangerous incompetent Marxist who has never run a hot dog stand and has his arrogant head so far up his ass, he'll be up to his nose in sewage before he smells the stink.

I’m not sure all of those who voted for Obama actually listened to what he had to say.

My daughter (who is a strong conservative at 18) has spoken with several of her classmates in college who said they voted for Obama because they liked the “way he spoke”. She told them they needed to stay away from voting booths until they understood the consequences of their votes.

My husband had a twenty-something co-worker tell him the same thing. The reason he voted for Obama was because he was a good “orator”.

These young fools didn’t listen to the content of his speeches, they just liked his soothing voice.

The "I won" comment came after Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., said Republicans believed cutting income taxed would do more to stimulate economic growth than providing a $500 per person payroll tax refund for individuals earning less than $200,000. The president said, according to those present, that this was an important philosophical divide between Republican and Democrats and that it had already been settled -- and would remain settled -- because he won the election.

Apparently That One doesn't understand the budget process, which depends on him having enough folks in Congress to pass what he wants. If he keeps up this attitude, he could find himself like x42 after HIS first two years in office, with a Republican majority in the House of Representatives. And if he REALLY screws up, the Senate could return to the Republicans too.

All this assumes that the national Republican leaders can get their act together in this next year.

I'm convinced that many voted for That One, without knowing all that about him. They were just angry at the Republicans because they believed they were alone responsible for causing the problems in the economy. They had been fed that line continually for months before the election, especially after the financial crisis started coming to a head in the summer.

These voters believed that the Democrats could do better. Since the MSM never reported the connections between Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Barney Franks and Chris Dodd, they had no idea that many of the problems originated with, and were continued by, those same Democrats they were convinced were going to fix things.

This is exactly why votes COUNT. Politicians see a vote, not as people selecting them to represent THEIR (the people’s) views, but THEIR (the politician’s) agenda. A vote to a politician means a “go-ahead” with EVERYTHING they have got planned - ignoring the fact that many vote for someone while disagreeing with certain parts of their platforms. While it’s true that one will probably NEVER find a politician with whom they agree 100% Obama should realize that almost half this country did NOT agree with him. We are NOT a PURE DEMOCRACY - the will of the majority must NEVER override the Constitution and politicians should NEVER assume that those who vote for them agree with them on everything. Unfortunately, especially with people like Obama this is completely lost.

We can obviously see that anything Obama doesn’t accomplish is going to be blamed on Republicans - especially outspoken pundits like Rush. This is absolutely unacceptable, and this is the exact thing Obama needs to start manipulating people’s minds about in order to pass the Fairness Doctrine. It’s scary because it’s all so predictable at this point.
