It’s not going to be easy for them to tell 57 million voters they voted against them.

The Obama Pelosi stimulus is not ethical, logical, American, realistic, constructive, or helpful.

$500 to a illegal alien worker and $1000 to a illegal married couple is just one example.

All of the Republican jelly spines need to be vigorously hounded with emails to let them know that their jobs are on the line over this.

Pray hard that they stand firm over this. The future of the country is at stake.

Hats off to the House Republicans, who were 100% unified in their defiance of this outrageous plan. Will the Senate Republicans follow suit? I certainly hope so, but can’t help but doubt it, some of them are the first ones anyone visualizes when they hear the term RINO. If they ever want that to change, this would be a good place to start.

Too bad both my senators are liberal Democrats, but if they were RINOs, would I really be better off? Gonna pass this info along in any event, they may need a neck brace.

If I was a senator, I could have been persuaded by Obama’s appeals.

But then I would look at Reid being an ass and change my mind.

I agree with you. Many more GOP would have jumped on board despite how bad the bill was IF Pelosi and Reid weren’t attacking Republicans instead of working with them...

Doesn’t matter. If a couple of the usual suspects flip, the squandering goes through.

Action Alert
Vote Against Obama’s Stimulus Package
Stop the waste of America’s tax dollars
Please tell your elected officials to oppose the $825 billion ‘American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009’, commonly known as the stimulus bill, now making its way through Congress. This legislation is packed with pork, supports leftwing political groups such as ACORN and will increase the national deficit to more than $2 trillion dollars which future generations will have to repay.

The House plans to vote on this package Wednesday with the Senate expected to vote later this week.

The Heritage Foundation has listed several top disastrous highlights:

"We are too often met with this response: 'we won.'"

That snide comment by Obambi is going to keep coming back to bite him on the a**.

House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi denied she had rammed the stimulus bill through against Republican objections.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. And to continue with the childhood analogies, I'm surprised her nose isn't a mile long. Must be all that botox.

Just sent e-mails to my two Senators. I think that they’ll hold this time. They took a beating last time they ticked off the electorate.

I think that Obama wants to be some great uniter, a beloved pied piper, leading everyone and having flower petal strewn in his path by lovely maidens. Nancy Pelosi has singularly guaranteed him that it is not to be. It’s going to be tough sledding for the Bamster, no matter if the Republicans are outnumbered.

Arlen Sphincter is my Senator. I called his office today and asked if there was any chance he was going to vote against this bill. The person said that he was leaning toward voting against it but they were still discussing amendments. I told him to forget amendments that no matter what they did they were not going to make a silk purse out of this pig and it would be really nice if for once if he could bring himself to vote with Republicans. I so want him to retire.

I think there’s a possibility they hold firm on a united (or near so) vote no.

The problem is what happens when Democrat’s decide they don’t want to own this, if that happens, and offer a few trivial modifications. Will Republicans still hold firm?

As bad as the bill is I’d much rather the Democrat’s pass on first try with no Republican support then pull it off the table, make a few adjustments that don’t really improve the bill but stroke the Republican egos, and then have this hung on their necks in ‘10.

Never give them reason to say this was a bipartisan bill when it fails to stimulate anything
