Gov’t money always has strings attached.

A warning to future CEO’s: If you take taxpayer money, prepare to be nationalized.

How about pay caps for the president, vice-president, cabinet members, senators and representatives.

Then you can hit the private sector.

Clean your own house first.

They wanted Socialism they got it.

Socialism just a pit stop on the way to Communism.

“How about pay caps for the president, vice-president, cabinet members, senators and representatives?”

You beat me to it. I’ll add TERM LIMITS for Congress to that Wish List, too. :)

obama is an idiot and needs to be dealt another loss.

this is the act of a bonehead, the good management will leave for greener pastures and the company will need another infusion of tax-payer money.

The definition of the tie-in will expand very quickly beyond just companies that receive government aid.

You don’t really need the story. Let the exceptions to this rule begin. If BO is announcing there are going to be pay caps, you can bet they’re all breaking out the bubbly to celebrate their newfound wealth.

Or the chairman of ACORN?

The government's aim has been to not only aid faltering institutions but also to help healthy banks so that they'll continue to lend money to consumers, businesses and each other. Setting tough terms could discourage some of those companies from getting government cash. Some banks have recently turned down government cash because they were worried about the increasing number of new conditions being considered.

Interesting that they consider it a bad thing that companies are turning down government money.

Define “a substantial amount”

Realistically, if the government’s going to give our tax dollars away, I guess they can set some requirements to go with the gift. Of course, the fact that the dollars being given out aren’t the government’s escapes the minds of most...
