Nope, not even close. It would have been a miracle if the raw elements of the universe did not evolve into life given the conditions we know to have existed.

If we know the conditions that existed I guess it won't be long until those conditions are duplicated in a lab somewhere and we will have some new life forms created by man. No extraterrestrial deity needed if it just takes some scientists, primordial goop and energy.

Maybe they could brew up some carrier pigeons - I would like to see them come back.

That will probably happen right after they figure out how to make an efficient alternative fuel to replace petroleum - one that doesn't take more energy to produce than it makes.
