PHOENIX, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Police in Phoenix, Ariz., say they are tackling the almost-daily occurrence of home invasions and kidnappings in the Arizona capital.

Officials said the high number of home invasions and kidnappings has earned the city the title of "kidnap-for-ransom capital" of the United States, The Arizona Republic reported Sunday.

Glenn Beck was talking about this on Friday. He said that there had been over three hundred of these kidnappings in the past year, I believe. I didn’t hear how many of the hostages were returned alive.

What really galls me is the fact that most of the media and politician don’t ever see this side of the immigration dilemma. The only illegals that they know clean their houses, mow their lawns and baby sit their kids.

According to the local news, at least two of them have been arrested. I’ll update when I hear more.

I live in Phoenix, although I am moving back to the southeast.

It is Mexicans. Mostly illegals in rival drug gangs. They kidnaps members of rival drug gangs and hold them for ransom. They also kidnap recent illegals and ask for ransom from Mexico.

Few incidents of kidnapping of Anglos. But that is coming! With such a short distance to the border, hide your blue-eyed, blonde haired teenage daughter. The sex slavery market is hitting the USA!

Thanks to our “feel-good” Democrats, no law enforcement.

Of course its Mexican nationals carrying on these crimes! But you wont hear a damn mention of that in the media! It makes me want to scream.

The same crap happens in the media all the time. For example, you will see stories about TB or smallpox outbreaks, or some other disease eradicated in the western world popping up on coastal cities or border towns. This happens a bunch on the west coast; but they never tell you its because of illegal aliens coming into the US, manily asians. And because they have not been medically examined, they carry disease and spread it through their communities.

Not a word on FAUX today or yesterday

Even when it was reported in the local news, it was referred to as "domestic violence"

Clinton’s, Bush Sr., Reagan’s

Nope, you can pull Reagan out of the mix.

Part of the deal, (Simpson, Misoley?) was after amnesty was granted to the 2 million illegals, congress was to see that the boarders were sealed.

Of course the dems never kept their part of the deal, the liars, cheats and thieves that they are.

There is going to come a point at which people will come to the realization that elected officials are unable or unwilling to help. Then, the people will take matters into their own hands.

Absolutely, I was referiing to the deal Roald Reagan signed onto.

Had the dems kept their end, we wouldn't have the problem we have now. But that doesn't absolve the current postitions that the GOP leadership has been taking since.

“I’m sorry but its actually real Americans that brought all this about. We have met the enemy and he is us.’

Don’t lump me into that category. I’ve been preaching for years that the crime wave from the south is going to shock Americans. It has arrived and will continue to spread. Buy a gun.

Question: With Joe Arpaio, seeming to be the only law enforcement with intent to stop the illegals - why are the numbers so high? Hasn’t he incarcerated thousands in ‘tent city’?

Probably jurisdictional disputes between him and Phoenix PD...or, who knows? Remeber, this isn’t kidnapping in the traditional sense of snagging one high-value target.

I’m fairly certain they’re including the ‘kidnapping’ of 20-30 illegals at a time in drop-houses awaiting the second half of their smuggling fee.

Just think, the Homeland Sec head is the ex-governor of AZ.

She's going to get an earfull from open-borders types wanting her to slack off on enforcement. And Janet loves to be able to point to 'public opinion' to bolster her Liberal politics. It won't be long at all before we see a backing-off of the enforcement there's been so far.

Before leaving us, she was nagging President Bush to deploy troops to the Mexican border. Note, we've heard nothing like that from her now that she's in a position to make it happen.

He is not administering patrol inside the city limits of Phoenix. If the Phoenix PD arrests them, THEN he gets them in the jail

I believe that whoever provided the post-apocalyptic details for GiTS as well as the 2 seasons of the TV show has demonstrated an uncanny ability to depict those situations in a convincing manner.
I don’t think it was entirely Masamune Shirow despite the disturbingly accurate geopolitical situation depicted in both seasons of GiTS:Standalone Complex.
There are some traditional post-apocalyptic Japanese memes in that movie and series that are coming to fruition.
