Is there some requirement that a president has to answer reporters’ questions without notes?
Duh.... I think it has something to do with thinking on his feet.
Fine ... but why is he not allowed something to prompt him, say, on finer details of an answer?
Not defending Obama here ... he might well misuse the capability. But again, what is intriniscally wrong with the idea of prompting a president on some of his answers?
