I was in the Atlanta airport yesterday and two businessman were talking in the waiting area. One said he voted for Obama but he is very disappointed. He talked about his money, talked about the “bailouts” and he clearly regretted his vote.
I had been in Florida and I sure wouldn’t mind moving to that usually red state. I heard lots of negative comments in Florida also - actually nothing positive about him. People are angry and scared.
That is becoming a common theme with people I know who voted for Obama. Even the ones who marginally pay attention.
I find his poll numbers crap because I know how much everyone holds the water for him.
In some ways I feel sorry for these folks having fallen for the kool-aid the snake oil salesman was peddling. These are the folks that we now have an opportunity to literally help. Yes, I said help.
Not in providing handouts or bailouts, but in assuring them that their ‘gut’ is correct, their true values are stable, that it is OK to have principals, and that real principals stand the test of time. They know what they don't want to lose for themselves or their children.
