We were raised to believe that such jokes are in poor taste long before the age of political correctness. : )
That said, I arrived home from seeing Grand Torino, just a short while ago. It is clear to me now, why it received no Oscar nominations.....way too traditional and conservative a message for Hollywood. It shocked me. I always thought Eastwood was pretty much of a leftist.
It was interesting in so many ways, and I have no time to expound, but truly a movie with a beautiful message. So good to see the world through the eyes of someone from my fathers generation. It must be tough for many of them to live in this age.
I loved it and highly recommend it!

Hes always played the straight man in comedy movies I dunno. His "singing" in Paint Your Wagon was pretty funny. ;)

Yup, and I said the same thing years ago. Not only does it make us humorless (I loved those Polish jokes—sigh.) but it turns people into raving idiots when you say something like ‘retarded’ instead of ‘developmentally challenged.’ That happened to me once.

“Humorless” is good but it goes beyond that. Society is now a bunch of Fn ZOMBIES. When they are not looking for something that “offends” THEM, most idiots are practicing not to “offend” someone else. It’s pretty damn childish and sick.

Didn't he get an Oscar just a few years ago? And didn't that movie have a more liberal theme....it was about a girl boxer? I'll google it.

He did comedy in his latest "Gran Torino".
Full of "racist" comments, too.

Once Sean Penn and the fair-weather Clint fans in leftywood started noticing he went conservative, he was thrown under the bus. pretty simple...

Clint’s “Million Dollar Baby” in 2005, got the academy award for best picture.

Clint is conservative by hollyweird standards, but not by the standards we have around here. Around here we would call him a quiet liberal or maybe a libertarian if we wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt.

That makes him okay in my book.

He's right - and according to PC and the libs, what you can and cannot say varies depending on whom you're talking to or about. It's bewildering and meant to basically strangle any debate about any important topic.
BTW, Gran Torino is a terrific flick, and Eastwood should have won an Oscar. Instead they had to give it to the fag-playing Penn.... Oops! Is that not politically correct?

Read a good story tonight about Dirk Benedict (A-Team), talk about a guy who really gets it!
I think he wrote some stuff for Brietbart about Hollywood that left some serious wounds.
