“There’s not going to be any pitchforks....nobody even has any friggin pitchforks for crying out loud, “

I have a very nice pitchfork! You can get one at almost any feed store or farm store, I think you can get one at Lowes.

Wow! What a ferocious response! Ever seen a bar fight among army and navy? It’s the same “side” and yet, there’s blood.

But here we have a bunch of tinny talk about armed revolution and pitchforks, and you can’t even take a verbal lashing form the same “side.” American is the new French.

I don’t blame you in particular. I think FR is a pacifier, and the Alinskyites love it. It allows their enemies to get on and type a lot of tough talk, release it, and then feel better about ourselves and then go back to watching Oprah without doing a gd thing. No chance for real anger to build up and ever break out into real fights.

“Pitchfork time” my ass.

If you think FR is a “pacifier”, you are free to leave. You do realize that all you’ve gotta do is drop a line to the Mods and have them ax your account? <p.
You’ll never have to deal with us again then. Do it. You know you want to.

Whatever. There’s someone on here now telling me I can buy a pitchfork at Lowes for god’s sake!!!

Can you believe how fd up this country is!?! People asking the govt for permission to throw tea in a creek and other’s saying you can go get a special on a Chinese made pitchfork at a frikkin Home Improvement store.

Nobody even has the slightest IDEA what revolution means!

You're still here? I thought you said this place was a "pacifier". That we're "deserters" and "cowards".

Here's an idea... Put your money where your mouth is. Alarm and Muster. Next, go re-pack your Bug Out gear. After that, contact your State Reps if your State hasn't joined one of the 10th Amendment initiatives or an RKBA initiative. After that, start prepping for what YOU would do should the S truly HTF.

After that, then you can come back here knowing you've done at least as much as little old "ought to be shot for dessertion" me.

Funny you shoud say that. I told my wife on Sunday that I, the non-activist, was ready to find a pitchfork and march on Washington.

The only thing that is missing is a leader to follow. Like it or not, believe it or not, that’s all that is needed.

Be your own leader. Who knows, maybe YOU are the one the rest of us are waiting for...

Any frog jumping out of the pot early will be rediculed by all the other frogs staying in the nice warm water. If you land in the fire instead, they will laugh at you and point out how it was much better to stay in the pot like a good little froggie. After all, it ain't boiling yet is it? - Me. July, 2006

Doesn't mean that jumping isn't worth the risk...

Alarm and Muster

I had read the warnings from history of the secessionists and the anti-federalists in disembodied books.

I intellectually understood that there was a dividing line between the storied America of the Declaration and Constitution, and the federal cleptocracy we see now.

That dividing line was 1865.

But when I saw the burning fire at Waco on TV, and there were no Alarms or Muster because they had been labeled "child molesters" or worse, I knew in my heart what I had learned in my head, that America would never be able to recover the ante-bellum spirit. There's not going to be any Lexington Greens or even Alamos. They'll be villified as "Eldorado polygamy sects" and "religious zealots" and will be picked apart bit by bit because "WE" on the right are not willing to bond together on 75% principles anymore for a common goal. We sit on these friggin boards and make enemies of each other with hot posts about nonsense.

Do you think anyone in the Alamo agreed as much politically as you and I likely agree??? Something has radically changed which keeps us all isolated, and it's not just a matter of having phone lists and camo gear.

The Iraqi's had fanatical religious zeal and unlimited stores of weapons...but even they could not fight the Imperial Federal State....and they had half of America on their side.

We had chance after chance to, as WFB said, "stand astride history and shout 'stop'!" but we didn't want to maintain respect for conservatism in our communities, we let the TV tell our neighbors that it was bad, and racist, and child abuse. And now that we can't have Duncan Hunter or Fredoddering Thomson be president, well screw it, we won't even stand astride history and say slow down.

Nov 4 was not a litmus test when America started to unravel. She's been decaying with each new generation for 40 years in our schools.

And the only way you’ll know if you’re leading is to actually lead, and see if people follow.

“Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”

I'd like to believe that.

But Reagan was a product of the people and the time. Hell, Hitler was a product of the people and his time.

Obama is a product of the 65 million American people who could put aside their minor differences over trees and energy and war and agree on wanting to kill capitalism and conservatism.

The people we have now on "our side" can't agree on a single leader, because we're so foolishly exclusive.

Look at Man50D's crusade for the fairtax. My way or the highway. Not to pick on him, but that's pretty much the theme. All Boortz and freerepublic did was take people who would otherwise agree on general principles and make them daily enemies.

What are you waiting for? Go do what needs to be done. Early adoption doesn’t have career longevity prospects, but someone needs to get the ball rolling.

Nope, I spend FAR too much time being pissed off. Far too much time jerking my knee and not nearly enough time contemplating consequences.

I have neither the oratorical skills nor the platform to inspire a million men to march on DC, armed if necessary, and demand change.

I plan on being there next year for the Second Amendment March. Until then, I've been trying to pull a few contacts together here in my home State. Not trying to form a "militia" or anything, just a broad scale network of individuals and political types.

It may yet come down to "die on my feet, or live on my knees"... But there are a few more steps to this dance between here and there.

While the will to resist is still there, it’s never too late. One person CAN make a world of difference. And yes, you COULD be that person. So could I. We won’t know until we try.
