The words “shallow” and “airhead” come to mind. Sounds like high school, where everyone tried to be hip and part of the in crowd.
I wonder how important "hip" and "cool" will be when all these college age kids have to find jobs and Mom and Dad have to cut them off because the money is all gone. Maybe some of them will have to apply for college loans because the 401K's are being wiped out.
"Reality" is about to trump "hip"
