Matthews Squish of the Week, Frum, Agrees Rush Has ‘Race Problems’
Newsbusters ^ | March 9, 2009 | Kerry Picket

Perhaps David Frum is jealous of all the media adoration Kathleen Parker now receives. Knowing he would be challenged on other media outlets, as he was previously on Mark Levin’s radio show, Frum appeared with MSNBC's Chris Matthews tonight. He talked about his recent column in Newsweek titled on the magazine's cover as "A Conservative's Case Against Rush Limbaugh."

Appearing on Hardball to plug his anti-Limbaugh Newsweek article denotes that Frum knew he would be addressing not only the Obama White House but also the mainly liberal fans of MSNBC.

If Frum was truly interested in endearing his article to a right of center audience, obviously, he would have been all over Fox News before he went to MSNBC. Just the fact that Frum wrote his piece in Newsweek and not a conservative publication will make conservatives wonder if Frum will do a political 180 a la Arianna Huffington.

Matthews jumped on the opportunity to prod Frum to say (or at least imply) that Limbaugh is a racist. (My emphasis added throughout) :

Matthews openly made racist comments about Bobby Jindal slurring his Indian ethnicity and nothing has been said.

Until conservatives are prepared to play the race card with the same vigor that partisans like Matthews do, they will find themselves on the short end of every political stick.

It is a disgrace that Frum and others play along with this kind of ploy.

Does David Frum realize that he has, de facto, been kicked out of the conservative movement? This guy strikes me as a tantruming child who is not getting any attention paid to him. He wants the conservatives to follow him and nobody is, at least not en masse.

So now David Dumb gets to be used by the liberal media for the useful idiot he is. Now the MSM will attempt to define Dumb as Conservative when, really, he has just gone over the cliff.

Frum appeared with....Chris Matthews....about his....column in Newsweek...:"A Conservative's Case Against Rush Limbaugh."

Well, for starters, Frum is no conservative.
And we won't even mention the rumors regarding him and "Chrissy" on that Bermuda getaway last month.......

The secular Jew Frum has race problems as well.

It is clear he despises white, conservative Christians.

Yeah, Limbaugh and many other Millions who are called ‘Cowards’ by another of the usual suspects, Holder, have a lot of ‘Race Problems’.

That's their story and they are sticking to it as long as they can use it to cloud the view of just what is really happening under Obama’s reign.

Isn’t Frum’s fifteen minutes just about up?

My take on this whole Frum/Limbaugh thing is really quite simple (and I've posted this elsewhere here on FR):

David Frum is a Canadian who comes across as a "conservative" because he's a big-government globalist who was an ardent supporter of a strong interventionist foreign policy under both of the previous two administrations.

His real problem is that he has a secularist Canadian view of government -- mainly in the form of his views on three issues: (1) he supports taxpayer-funded health insurance, (2) he's a strident leftist on many "social issues," and (3) he has no respect for the role of constitutional law in the U.S. (particularly when it comes to the right of free citizens to keep and bear arms).

These gyrations we see and hear from him in recent weeks are the result of his pathetic attempts to reconcile his secular Canadian "conservative" values with the American political system. It simply ain't going to work.

Matthews got Frum an extension of 15 minutes, unfortunately.

There’s always a spot on liberal media payrolls for lapsed conservatives. The number of these slots is shrinking along with the media, but they do exist. The reality is that there’s not a lot of bucks available in the conservative media, certainly nowhere the amounts available in the liberal media. I suspect Frum is crossing the aisle so he can put food on the table.

YEP...until the people are told the TRUTH....that the Dems STARTED the Klu Klux Klan....that the DEMS created Jim Crow Laws....that the DEMS blocked EVERY CIVIL RIGHTS LAW from the 1800’s on (including Al Gore Sr’s LONGEST ever Filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act)....until people start shouting from the rooftops that the DEMS want to keep certain “minorities” on the PLANTATION and under their control.....we will have problems. People need to read Wayne Perryman’s book....Unfounded Loyalty (about Blacks unfounded/ignorant support of Democrats)...by the way, Perryman is Black, and USED to be a Democrat...until he wrote this book.

Your correct...these “intellectual conservatives” agitated and voted for Hussein because he was a cool black guy.

And in the process they had to rationalize their idiotic decision by calling Palin, Joe the Plumber, and the base....white trash rubes.

Along with Welsh, Buffet, Cramer, etc, they are ALL scrambling to rationalize their affirmative action pick.

Fear, they are afraid of the MSM calling them racist.

Honestly: I don’t believe Frum despises white, Christian conservative Americans at all. I think he does not understand them, having been largely insulated from them growing up in Canada. We all tend to fear that which we do not understand. It’s a cultural thing - he is akin to a lot of East Coast (American) Republicans in that respect - secular, globalist, and “sophisticated”. Prefers Chardonnay to Budweiser, if you know what I mean.

If Frum’s Newsweek article is anything like what he’s written on newmajority.com (or as I prefer to think of it, sameoldminority.com), there’s nothing that could endear that article to the center-right, at least the end that’s more right than center. It’s unsalvageable.

Rush Limbaugh producer Mr. Snerdly is black. It is Matthews and all those white liberals hypocrites who are the racists because they always bring racism into the debate. How many black anchors there is at MSNBC or any liberal news media?

Yes he does. NR kicked him off NR Online. Frum is the new David Brock. He used the right for all he could, now he’s rebranding himself.
