Obama and what he wants or thinks is literally out of the equation if America is openly struck by nuclear fire.

not responding immediately would probably end his life by coup in about 14 seconds.
Just my take on power in such matters. But I share your assessment of Hussein.

Not meant to disagree with your post. - Perhaps my take is angry wishful thinking.

I know that I would personally remove him in such a case if I had any power at all to attempt such a thing, with all legalities aside.

While a coup is possible, as are rogue military using their weapons without authorization (from what I've heard, the "football" isn't necessary to use some of them), that doesn't mean he won't be stupid enough to try a round of Kumbaya, first. I believe that he'd try to argue that the use of atomic weapons against any enemy is a war crime that he can't engage in. In fact, the way he's been going, I'm starting to believe he's the sort of leftist who would sacrifice his country for that sort of nonsense. And like I said, I hope his enemies don't start believing it or this could be a real short ride to worst president in American history.
