How long until Obama decides to take advantage of this plus the shooting at the church to push his universal gun owner licensing and registration? You know they are just waiting to take advantage of a tragic occurance like this...

When I was a kid everyone called Samson, "snuff town". The reason being Faulk Merchantile which bought it by the boxcar load. They used to send it out in the mail as free samples.
We would make smoke bombs out of it.
When I worked S.E. Alabama in the mid 70's I would go to Samson maybe once a month. It appeared to be dying. I went back for the first time in many years about a year ago and the town was having a resurgence. Not sure why but a lot of new buildings and previously abandoned ones now occupied.

It's all about exploitation. Rahm Emanuel can't let a good crisis or tragedy go to waste.

I was very surprised the last time I went to Hurtsboro, where we have family, and saw that things had really taken off. In that case, it's commuters from Columbus (a couple who work for AFLAC had bought my ggg grandfather's house).
It seems to be spotty, though. Uchee is still almost uninhabited.

I used to work with a girl from Hurtsboro, can’t recall her name but can picture her face like it was yesterday. The first time we met, I mentioned that I was from DeFuniak Springs and she said The girls in DeFuniak had a reputation for being really wild.
I asked if she had lived there and she said, “no, we have heard of them all the way up in Hurtsboro”.

Agreed. All this proves is that not enough would-be victims are armed yet. We’ll know we’re making progress when rampages like this end abruptly with few casualties or no casualties other than the murderous nuts themselves, gunned down by well-armed ordinary Joes or Jills packing heat.

It sounds as if he was shooting people that he knew. Why else would he drive 12 miles between shootings? Maybe his family and his business? Maybe he was laid off? Not an excuse for the Evil this baseborn did. I know plenty of people laid off, lost their house, stock market wiped out their savings, and not one of them has felt the slightest inclination to KILL anyone.

Still nothing on this in 'Breaking'.
This tragedy will likely be part of the impetus for AWB2.
