Sean Hannity just mentioned the controversy for no apparent reason. He said something along the lines of “He’s an American citizen as far as we know, despite the birth certificate controversy”

I think Scalia and Thomas plus Alito is probably also on board.

“Roberts initiated the meeting with obama and Alito was missing. I don’t recall any comments from Alito concerning obama.”
I believe that Roberts, Thomas, and Scalia have each referred an Obama eligibility case to conference.

Careful there with the personal attacks newbie.

I like Caddel too. For someone who was a miserable failure on the campaign trail his predictions of elections are about as acurate as they come.

I'm guessing Roberts
You are very likely correct. It was Roberts who agreed to, and presided over what was essentially an ex parte proceeding (highly unusual and certainly unethical) in which Comrade 0bama was invited to meet with the Supreme Court Justices prior to 20 January 09. This, at a time when there were (and presumably still are) cases on the docket before the SCOTUS challenging 0bama's eligibility to serve as President.
The only judge which did not participate in this was Sam Alito.
To invite a party to a pending case to meet privately with a judge or judges without the presence of the opposing party is (I believe), a violation of the American Bar Association's code of ethics.
So your guess about Roberts is probably a good one.

Back in 2000 he spoke about the “vampires” surrounding the Clintons and even went so far as to name Mcauliff as the worst of the bunch.

You can review my posting history to see my political ideology, but I don’t like being called a “n00b” and I’m not comfortable with being “hazed” into a forum just because I’m a “newbie”. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to PM me.

I say Roberts , he was REAL nervous at the innauguration...
To: WheresMyBailout
This isn’t about your political ideology. You signed up in January, that makes you a ‘n00b’, and if you don’t like being hazed, you ought to look up a fella by the name of Finley Peter Dunne, who said “politics ain’t beanbag”.
In other words, Welcome to FR. Grow yourself a hide. LOL

Good guy. He is an old time souther Democrat who does not like marxists or screaming lefty loons. I think he did okay writing and creating a TV show. Evening Shade?
I like when Hannity has Ann Coulter with Pat on. They get on well.

To me, Scalia and Thomas appear to be the firmest constitutionalsts. Obviously. Roberts and Alito are more in the mold of Rhenquiest (sp? forget it).

I once heard Thomas speak about the importance of adherence to the constitution and the importance of that in ending slavery despite widespread popular opinion among the people.

Does n00b means “newbie”? If that’s the case, this may be just a misunderstanding. To me, “n00b” sounds like some sort of insult.
I know politics ain’t beanbag. That’s why I’m not a politician.
