Lets just hope that of the millions and millions of gun owners in America, there's even a small percentage who have the courage to take up arms when needed.

I am encouraged by the increases in firearm sales since the imperial coronation though, it shows there are some who can read the writing on the wall.

Rush is the voice of Conservatives, not Republicans.

Big, Big Difference.

They want to paint Rush and his listeners as right-wing nutjobs. And McCain RINO’s as moderates until an election, then they will be right-wing nutjobs.

I to want Obama to fail.

The San Francrisco Chronicle’s token ‘conservative’ is trotted out once again.

Debra Saunders = soon to be out of a job, maybe she can sell out to some other leftist yellow rag looking for a token conservative in an attempt to gain credibility.

In the grand buffet table of conservatism, Debra Saunders represents the little stack of napkins next to the salad plates.

Well, if they can get “mainstream” elected Republicans to reject Rush, they can easily paint him as an extremist. Therefore, anyone who supports, or even listens to, Rush is a troglodyte, right-wing, religious kook who hates minorities, gays and anybody that believes in evolution.

There is then no harm in silencing Rush, who is, after all, only a fear-mongering wingnut spewing hate-speech to ignorant followers.

If Rush goes down, it’s all over, I’m afraid. And I don’t trust the squishy, suck-up Republicans we have in Congress to stand up to the heat that’s coming. What we have seen is only the first volley.

It would be nice if the Dims would put as much effort into their jobs , serving we the people, instead of attacking a private citizen.

**Because Limbaugh used the f-word, Good Republicans are supposed to distance themselves from him.**

Regarding Obama, I'll use 2 "F" words.

Actually, the Distancing I DID, was from from the REPUBLICAN PARTY.. they do not get my vote OR my Money!!

YO, Serpenthead and FOREHEAD.. we'll accept RUSH as the defacto head of the GOP, the minute you to MAN UP and admit that GEORGE SOROS is the DEFACTO HEAD of the DEM PARTY.

Not Holding my breath on that one.

The real funny part is that the VERY next sentence was: “And you don’t win without people who charge up the base.”

The bimbette doesn't even realize what day it is.

Is there any wonder why we are in such a mess?

Oh, please.

That's absurd.

It’s absurd in two ways -
Rush won’t “go down”, it just won’t happen, unless some leftist actually assassinates him.

And Rush’s lack of presence wouldn’t be the “end of it all”.

However, if the government does take steps to force his silence, it will be the beginning of TEOTWAWKI, because that would be a line in the sand equivalent to the gov’t attempting to confiscate arms.

Sorry. I think he actually got more votes. I blame a poor campaign by McCain, outrageous bias and flat-out advocacy for Obama in the MSM, and the general stupidity of the American electorate...

Hyperbolic? Maybe yes. Absurd? Not so much.

Without Rush, who is our voice? The implication being, of course, Levin and Hannity are silenced as well. I for one, without those voices, would be lost; especially Levin.

FR is good; it’s important to communicate with the conservative community, but it is not a substitute for Rush. Our voices here can be ignored by the MSM and the administration - Rush’s voice rings out like a bell.

after several days of hearing rush is the defacto “leader of the gop”.

the answer to this salvo of agitprop became very apparent.

has any of us thought of asking the left who they consider their defacto leader(s), hhhmmmmmmmm ????

hint: it’s not hussein.

try marx, lenin, stalin.

their dead of course. ideologically however, wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather....

This whole brouhaha is designed to get Republicans to snipe at each other and, perhaps more important, to distract voters from what is happening to their 401(k)s -- after Democrats have thrown an extra trillion dollars at the economy.

Correct.

You just knew that when the recently elected executive stooped to attacking a radio entertainer, essentially a nonpartisan, private citizen, that entertainer's speculation was probably accurate. Obama and his immature, ragtag group of socialist activists need be no where near the White House.

But is what she wrote wrong?

Maybe Rush would appreciate a thoughtful and qualified defense, more than knee-jerk praise.

Her column has the potential of convincing people who would otherwise disagree.

Simple chest-pounding doesn't do that.

But is what she wrote wrong?

Absolutely. By her own words, she is a 'mushy' moderate Republican. (translation = RINO) I have no use for her.

Maybe Rush would appreciate a thoughtful and qualified defense, more than knee-jerk praise.

I ask you, how would you know what Rush would appreciate?

Her column has the potential of convincing people who would otherwise disagree.

You mean other 'mushy' moderates? Other RINOS?

Screw 'em, that is what's wrong with the GOP, and that is why they lost last November.

Simple chest-pounding doesn't do that.

The hell it doesn't. What the Republican Party needs are a dedicated pack of 'roid-enraged conservative gorillas who will rip the party structure to shreds, expel each and every 'mushy' and 'squishy' weak sister, establish a new Party organization and platform that is 110 percent Reaganism, i.e., smaller federal government, not the ever expanding behemoth that has been fed by both 'Rats and RINOs (and I mean George W. Bush as well), declare our eternal opposition to Islamofascist terrorism on a global scale, fiscal responsibility which is based NOT on pouring money out of the U.S. treasury into the hands of our enemies and adversaries.

That's just for starters, get the picture?

"Last year I took on his bashing of Republican moderates and criticized Limbaugh and other talk-radio hosts when they were too harsh on not-yet GOP nominee John McCain. I've never apologized"

That sums up Debra J Saunders, and that sums up what is wrong with the Republican Party. The so called 'moderates' need to be bashed until they turn tail and run, never to return.
