(IsraelNN.com) United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told children in a televised interview on Ali-Soutak, a Palestinian Authority (PA) TV station, that she hopes to "connect up our two countries," clearly referring to the PA and the U.S.

A transcript of the interview, which was broadcast live on a PA TV program for teenagers, was translated by the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) organization, a watchdog group that monitors Arabic-language broadcast and print media.

The Secretary was interviewed by a teenage girl and boy, each of whom asked her questions. One of Clinton's first subtle references to the PA as already carrying the status of an independent nation came in response to one of the first questions asked by the girl:

Girl Host: "The access program is an exchange program funded by the American government. What role do such programs play in bridging the gap between cultures and what can be done to make them 2-way exchange programs?"

Far too often in recent history when westerners are "connected" to palestinians, someone dies. Perhaps she should have suggested they reflect on their role in the popularizing of terror as a late 20th century device. Might make a good term paper.

Next time someone argues that Iraq was a “Soveriegn Nation” that we had no right to invade. Ask them if we are a Soveriegn Nation. We are not. Our government is constrained by a Constitution. Sovereign Nations aren’t bound by Constitutions, the laws of their predecessors or even by custom. Yes, Iraq WAS a Sovereign Nation. Now it’s a democracy.

You seem to have made up your own definition for the phrasse "sovereign nation."

independent of outside authority; not governed by another country: a sovereign nation

MADAME SECRETARY, WE DON’T WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH PALESTINE.

UGH! I feel so out of control with this insanity of making our enemies our “friends” and our friends our “enemies”.

I beg to differ with your analysis. We ARE (or rather, are supposed to be) a sovereign nation. That sovereignty comes from the natural sovereignty of individuals who have delegated a portion of their sovereign powers to the government under the Constitution. That is the meaning of the idea that the US government derives its authority from the consent of the people.

In practice, American sovereignty means that our Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and that no external human authority has the power to impose its will on us.

The world government advocates, who have become alarmingly bold in the last decades, are attempting to put an end to American sovereignty by subjecting us to the laws of international institutions. Of course, any such attempt to subordinate American sovereignty to global authority is a direct attack on the sovereignty of American citizens.

Actually I would not be surprised if she doesn’t know the PA isn’t a country. Seriously! Libs can be dumber that a box of rocks and would never be called on it. If Clinton somehow actually is asked about the above statement she can just say she “misspoke” or was tired and that would be the end of it.

Sarah Palin on the other hand, would have to know every aspect of every political faction in every 3rd world country if she was even considered to be SOS. One misstep and she would be deemed completely unqualified.
