It was the left who tried to tell us this guy was smart. They also said Hillary was the smartest woman in the world. That doesn't mean it's true. Remember, the left always says the opposite of what they really mean.

I’m afraid this thread is making a lot of people look very naive. The bill includes specific restrictions on the use of the billions it authorizes.. but doesn’t restrict the trillions elsewhere in the 2009 budget. So yeah, they can’t extract human tissue with THESE needles bought by THESE dollars.. but they can use those OTHER needles over here bought with THOSE dollars.
Electing Obama made this happen, and semantic victories about where the money comes from isn’t going to change the actual result for the embryos.

There’s no way a LEFTIST is going to be restricted by LAW.
And as you point out, this particular law only addresses a very limited set of funds.
So not only does the left care not a whit about law, but THIS law isn’t much of a threat to anyone on the left.
It is time to move to impeach him.
Just wait until their day of reckoninb comes, and make no mistake, it is coming.
There has GOT to be a way to make people here understand that federal funding for stem cell research has been approved via executive order and will be handed out in spades. What is being talked about here ONLY covers the 400 Million omnibus bill, not the 2009 budget or any future bill funding stem cell research. So, BIG DEAL if those 400 Billion can’t be touched for embryonic stem cell research. Funding for it will come from any number of other sources anyway.
