The free markets have spoken. Too bad the libtards are deaf or dumb (or both). Pelosi wants to “save” the newspapers in the Bay area, according to drudge.

Charitable models exist already: ProPublica, producing “investigative journalism in the public interest”, is supported by the Sandler Foundation and other trusts.

Pretty much guaranteeing that no real investigative stories of that Foundation/those trusts will ever occur.

Sandlers? The people who made billions on Pic a Pay mortgages then dumped the toxic mess on Wachovia. Wachovia was stupid to buy it.

We need a free press but the lib papers killed it.

Well, why not bring back the town crier. Congress can fund ten thousand favorite people to the tune of $115,000 a year, plus a huge pension.

The Dem Establishment isn’t going to let the NY Times go down. Just not. It’s the mouthpiece.

Cry us a river liberal trash rags.

All the hard copy liars ever wrote about can be boiled down to
blame Republicans and Israel for all the worlds problems.

Good riddance and may the rest follow.

In all modesty, those of us here at FRee Republic who are on the Dinosaur Media DeathWatch™ ping list are some of the promptly informed in the world. We saw all this happening years ago.

This is the same as a soccer Mom wanting taxpayers to pay for new uniforms for her team.

I enjoyed my suds last night, hopefully as much as you enjoyed your celebratory beverage.

Hopefully, these clowns will shut down so quickly in such numbers that I will be forced to go into rehab within the next few months.
