His Father was Kenyan and therefore a British subject. His mother was too young to transfer citizenship under the law at that time and his citizenship was revoked by Soetero to put him in an Indonesian school. Other than that, well you wasted a lot of ink. Better luck next time charlie.

It doesn't work that way. Nothing a parent does can renounce a minor's US citizenship.

Hey, the "He's an Indonesian citizen" stuff was not part of the core debate. What Indonesia does or claims does not compel the US (or even Kenya or UK) to respect when it comes to citizenship claims.

American law simply does not allow a parent to "give up" a child's citizenship.

Interesting that the Hawaii based "newsie" thinks the Indonesia issue is a major cottage industry though. Just what does he read eh!~
