Urgent call: Stop the Islamic Saudi Academy expansion tonight!
Jihad Watch ^ | March 18, 2009 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 03/18/2009 7:34:03 AM PDT by La Lydia

....a call to Christians, and every free citizen -- Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist...in the Fairfax County area to attend this meeting and try to stop the expansion of the Sharia school. There is a serious issue related to radical Islamic Wahabbists gaining a greater foothold in Fairfax/Fairfax County. On March 18th, at 8:15pm there will be a very important Fairfax County Planning Commission meeting to hear from the public about the Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA)’s request to expand their Shariah based school.

The ISA wants to replace the current building on the property with a very large two-story structure which will give them 10 times the square footage they have presently. There will be a place to meet and pray for student use only—this will be a mosque.

...The Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA), founded, funded, and controlled by the Saudi Government, seeks to expand its school in Fairfax on Popes Head Road. Currently the ISA has two locations, an upper grade school near Ft Belvoir/Mt Vernon and a lower grade school in Fairfax. The Wahabbists want to consolidate all 900 (and growing) students at the Fairfax location.

At the center of the controversy are the school’s curriculum and the crimes committed by those who attended or worked at the ISA: Ismail Selim Elbarasse served as an accountant at ISA for 14 years before he was arrested for videotaping bridge structures including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in August, 2004. On the day of his arrest, he was also named as an “unindicted co-conspirator” for laundering money on behalf of the American affiliate of Hamas.

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali , an ISA valedictorian, is serving a thirty-year prison sentence for providing material support to Al-Qaeda and plotting to assassinate President G.W. Bush.....

There is a pattern of anti-American, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian activity at the Islamic Saudi Academy. The curriculum sanctions murder against Jews, adulterers, homosexuals, and converts from Islam—for all other Americans these would be considered crimes.

Each time the ISA gets caught and there is a new flare-up over the hate taught at the ISA, the school “fixes” the curriculum a little. In anticipation of this zoning request, Planning Commission hearings and then the full Board hearing , the ISA has once again claimed they have altered their textbooks. However, while the Islamic Saudi Academy deleted some of the most contentious passages from the texts, copies provided to The Associated Press show that enough sensitive material remains to fuel critics who claim the books show intolerance toward those who do not follow strict interpretations of Islamic Shariah...Fairfax County Supervisor Pat Herrity, (Republican) who represents Fairfax, seems to be working to help this school--as are most others. We need people to come and speak....

Wahabbists are colonizing many areas of Northern Virginia. America’s history can be described as waves of immigrants coming to our shores seeking liberty and freedom. The Wahabbists come to America and immediately conspire to reduce our liberty and freedom and impose their brutal Islamic Shariah law—and using our very laws against us to do this. This is the difference between them and other immigrants.

This is major spiritual warfare. Please consider attending. Yes, 8:15 pm is late. But it is vital to have Christians attend. Hearing held here:

Further colonization of Northern Virginia. Would someone please explain to me again why these people are in our country, why they are allowed to try to undermine and overthrow our government, and why our elected officials help them.

One of the sharpest, and sadly funny things anyone has ever posted on FR. Kudos.

Muslims should NEVER have been admitted to the United States. It isn’t too late to deport them all and bulldoze their mosques.

We just need to get the Demonrats to stop worshipping Political Correctness.

“Why are our officials helping them?” Can you say “political contributions??” Another RINO republican exposed, helping these thugs expand the influence of their so-called “religion.” These are terrorists, training other terrorists, using the 1400 year old manual of terrorism also known as the Quran. It’s a disgrace. The American people line up firmly against these criminals, yet our politicians ignore their constituents and provide all manner of assistance and cover for a sub-human element that wishes only the demise of the US. Astounding!

You can thank the a**hole Gerry Connelly, former Chairman of the BOS of FFX Couty for allowing this academy to continue to teach it’s hate. Now that Connnelly is a member of the US House of Reps (won Tom Davis’ seat) he will be doing even more damage at the national level.

My letter to Pat Herrity;

I urge you to oppose the proposed expansion of the the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County and vote against it tonight. This is an organization controlled and bankrolled by a foreign government. It teaches hate and intolerance, and advocates the overthrow of our form of government. You think that is an exaggeration? Please review recent legitimate news coverage of the curriculum and the activities of its graduates, for instance, as reported by the Associated Press.

This school is anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, misogynistic, and teaches extreme intolerance of homosexuals. It also teaches that violence against these groups is justified and obligatory.

I understand that you have received campaign contributions from those who support this school. But surely you also received contributions from ordinary Virginians, whose interests you are morally obligated to defend against people who are conspiring to curtail our freedoms, impose a foreign system on all of us and who advocate the use violence to achieve their ends. This should not be taught to students in the United States, regardless of their religion. Tonight we will see on whose side you stand, and whose interests you truly represent.

I have problem with people like you. If you want to keep your wonderful culture, why not stay in your own country? Or was your culture the reason you had to leave. Did your culture turn your country into a hell on earth for most of its inhabitants? Why come here and try to change ours? You enjoy our economic freedoms? Why not be a patriot and work to introduce those freedoms, and the others you enjoy, to your home country in the context of your wonderful culture? Unless, of course, your motives are other than what you claim. And, the fact that sex, alcohol and drugs are present on the ISA campus is not exactly an argument in favor of its expansion. I am sure you are laughing, just like these guys:

Ismail Selim Elbarasse served as an accountant at ISA for 14 years before he was arrested for videotaping bridge structures including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in August, 2004. On the day of his arrest, he was also named as an “unindicted co-conspirator” for laundering money on behalf of the American affiliate of Hamas; Ahmed Omar Abu Ali , an ISA valedictorian, is serving a thirty-year prison sentence for providing material support to Al-Qaeda and plotting to assassinate President G.W. Bush; Abdalla I. Al-Shabnan, Director General (Principal) ISA, was arrested by Fairfax police in June, 2008 for obstruction of justice and failing to report a case of child sexual abuse involving a five year old girl at the Popes Head campus; ISA alums Mohammed El-Yacoubi and Mohammed Osman Idris, were denied entry into Israel when authorities there found El-Yacoubi carrying what the FBI believed was a suicide note linked to a planned martyrdom operation in Israel.

Reponding to paragraph one

I am very fortunate to be born and raised here. I love this country, have served it, and would choose no other place on earth to live.

And what makes you think I am just sitting on my ass not trying to change the way people think over there? That is pretty damn insulting, thinking that I work my ass off for conservative causes, conservative candidates, and talk about American conservative ideals in Karachi, that I am here in America trying to change us. Get over yourself man.

I am sure that you do all that you say. I just think that it should be done in Pakistan, not from a comfortable perch in the U.S. Or is the culture there hostile to American ideas? Has that culture made it impossible for people such as you to live there? Why did your parents or grandparents ever leave the blessings of such a wonderful culture? And if you were born and raised here, then why the fixation on Pakistani culture and government, surely American culture should be your primary concern. Divided loyalties are always difficult, because one side of the divide always gets second place. I don’t like the idea of Americans whose priorities put the U.S. in second place, and that goes triple for politicians. Oh, and I am not a man. I realize in Pakistani culture women are lesser, subservient beings, but surely the difference is at least acknowledged.

I think you have a serious lack in reading comprehension skills, because I have no idea why you would respond the way you did.

I believe in American greatness, far more then you do which is why I am never threatened by other cultures or ideas, because I know our American ideas are the best and will win out (see Cold War, 1946-1991)

To be quite honest, I would live like a king in Pakistan, but I have no loyalty nor any reason to live over there. My life and family are all here, and I work in service to this nation (trust me, you need people like me working for you)

And what makes you think American culture is not my primary concern? 100 or so posts on FR over the last 4 and a half years? My strong support for Governor Marc Sanford? Or the fact that I am very much in favor of the Campaign for Liberty that Ron Paul re-ignited last year

The problem with someone like yourself is you make way too many assumptions about who I am and what I believe based on not much of anything. If you were to ever meet me face to face, you’d have a far different, ass kissing tune, that I tend to get from everyone at any conservative event I am at.

Funny how the internet works

Fairfax Board Hears Islamic Expansion Request
03-19-2009 4:23 AM

(Alexandria, VA) — The Fairfax County Planning Board is considering appeals for expansion at the Islamic-Saudi Academy, after last night’s presentation from school officials. Academy officials want to expand the school, but last night the board heard from opposition to that expansion. Recently, a U.S. government commission report said passages in the school’s textbooks promote hate. The County board says the school’s curriculum is not within their authority. They’ve asked the State Department to review the books. Yesterday, the State Department said it has not yet examined the changes the school claims to have made.

I emailed their press shop today and this is what they told me:

“The decision on the case has been deferred to April 30, 2009, so no votes were taken last night.”
