Critics Got Donations From Insurer (Obama and Dodd top two AIG donation recipients)

WASHINGTON -- Some of the most vocal critics of American International Group Inc.'s bonus payments are also the biggest recipients of campaign contributions from the company, including President Barack Obama and Senate Banking Chairman Christopher Dodd.

Last year, as both men were running for president, each raised $104,000 from AIG employees. Mr. Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat, is the top all-time beneficiary of AIG contributions, with a total of $280,000 in donations from the company's employees and fund-raising arm since 1990, according to campaign-finance data collected by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.

Christopher Dodd A White House spokesman couldn't be reached for comment. A Dodd spokesman had no immediate comment Wednesday.

Messrs. Obama and Dodd are among the top Democrats who have taken donations from AIG but now are criticizing the company. Another one, Sen. Charles Schumer of New York, threatened this week to increase taxes on the AIG bonuses if they aren't returned. Mr. Schumer has accepted $112,000 in donations from AIG's employees and its political action committee, making him the second-largest recipient among active lawmakers since 1990.

"Virtually all the contributions were made over five years ago, and nothing has been contributed since taxpayers needed to step in to save this company from itself," said Brian Fallon, a spokesman for Sen. Schumer. "He hasn't accepted donations since, and will not."

So glad the press couldn’t suppress this story anymore. I love it when fake outrage blows up in phony politicians faces.

Indeed! These guys not only think the populace are fools, they also tried to make the populace into a class warfare lynch mob. Anything, they do absolutely anything just to save their butts while they destroy the foundation of this country.

Today I heard that Dodd was giving back his contributions from AIG.

Will Hussein?

I can see this scenario being a lose lose for Hussein. If he keeps it, it doesn’t get any worse than it is now. If he gives it back, it will draw attention that he received money from them in the first place.

Of course the media will gloss over it, and sweep it under the rug anyway. If they report on Hussein getting money from AIG, they won’t say how much, and will also mention the very few republicans that got money from them as well, though much less, but as I said the amounts won’t be mentioned in the story.

I wonder if any of the bailed-out European banks that received money through the AIG-money-laundering scheme donated to Obammie the Commie's campaign through the Internet.

He received a lot of money that was never accounted for.

The contributions gave him the funds he needed to run for and win his office. He needs to give up his office, too. If he doesn’t, it’s like stealing $50K, using it to invest in something that makes you a million, then saying you’ll give the $50K back AFTER you’ve been caught.

He needs to resign.

Every stinking one of them should be impeached, then use the solution of tall tree-short rope!

Not a bad return for AIG. $200,000 to Dodd and Obama and $160,000,000 in bonuses. Can we just quit paying taxes, yet?

Since Barry received nearly $1 trillion in campaign donations from unverified sources, he can probably afford to give back a messily $100K - no?

Look at that! Obama and Dodd got the most contributions from AIG in 2008. Oh, man. Talk about stepping in the crap, the really stinky smelly crap.

Chris Dudd can’t seem to settle on one lie/explanation for his involvement in the AIG bonus mess. Stay tuned, tomorrow’s another day.

Oh, its getting better. Today, they were pretending to be outraged that Fannie Mae execs were getting bonuses:
So guess what I researched:

Fannie Mae PAC Contributions to Federal Candidates 2008 cycle:

Nancy Pelosi: $10,000
Rahm Emanuel: $10,000
Barney Frank: $6000
Harry Reid: $8000
Patty Murray: $7500
Chris Dodd: $5000

Thats not counting the individual contributions by employees. I did a search on Obama’s individual contributions by Fannie Mae execs and employees and it was 4 pages long.
