I think many of them voted that way to show they are in agreement with teaching these weasels a lesson. This is government-taxpayer (our) money they are squandering on failure.

This will likely amount to little more than symbolism anyway. I think the courts will overturn it because it singles out one specific group to be punished via taxation. I do not think that will hold in the courts.

Why don’t they teach the weasels among them a lesson who received campaign money from AIG? I’m tired of Republicans who vote for things like this which are patently unconstitutional. Eric Cantor has lost my vote now. He disgusts me. It is bad enough when you face an enemy with no moral compass and lax principles but when those who are supposed to be with you behave the same what is left?

I do not think that will hold in the courts.

Let us hope that Bills of Attainder will still be held to be unconstitutional.
