I was shocked to learn of the comment made by President Obama about Special Olympics, Governor Palin said. This was a degrading remark about our worlds most precious and unique people, coming from the most powerful position in the world.
These athletes overcome more challenges, discrimination and adversity than most of us ever will. By the way, these athletes can outperform many of us and we should be proud of them. I hope President Obamas comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.

I have mixed feelings on this one. The partisan side wants Obama slammed in any way possible. The objective side hates political correctness in all forms, particularly when I know the speaker had no intention of harm. I guess I lean toward the objective side as if we consistently return fire, we have also have bowed the knee and kissed the false god of Political Correctness.

She will clean his clock at the first presidential debate in 2012. If the Messiah even makes it to then.

I think he is so used to speaking like a cocky, arrogant, smart alec, know-it-all, pompous thug, that he really doesn’t understand how ignorant he is. He is probably stunned that anyone didn’t find his nasty remarks funny.

Good for her.
Hussein made a lame joke. It fell flat. How many of us have said, “I feel retarded”? Or “that is so retarded”...that might be excusable.
But to go after the Special Olympics particularly....what a NIMROD.

maybe that’s why I’m not going crazy over this comment. But it goes to show you that every time Obama is without a teleprompter, he really misses it.

Hey the TOTUS says that he had nothing to do with that remark. In fact if only O had just used him on the Leno show this error would not have occured (I know because I read it at the TOTUS’s blog) ;)

Well, they are unique... and to their loved ones and many others the are ‘most precious’. I guess it depends on your point of view.

I like the way you put that. Rush mentioned “hate speech” in criticizing the left yesterday. We indirectly condone the loss of our freedom by attacking the libs like this, and the press isn't going to give any of their saviour’s missteps any traction anyway.

With all that money Zero’s made from selling Bill Ayers’ books, why doesn’t he get that piece of chorizo removed from his face? I look at it and think of the Austin Powers scene with Fred Savage. “Mole!”

The objective side hates political correctness in all forms, particularly when I know the speaker had no intention of harm.Well, having grown up when it was still acceptable to make fun of mentally retarded people, I have probably said things similar to what Obama said. I do now realize that such things are insensitive, beyond any "political correctness."
That being said, I am not running for public office, particularly NOT on a platform of being an inspiring communicator and "transformational" public leader.
the fact that Obama lacks the self-control or maturity to keep himself from saying such a stupid thing, tells me all I need to know about how much trouble we're in.
